Had a very bad experience there. I went there for new glasses, frames and prescription lenses. My insurance Humana allows up to $400 for the eye test, lenses and frames. Instead of looking to see if there are any frames that you like they have you take the eye exam. Then you can look at frames. They only push the expensive designer frames $300 and up. They told me my progressive lenses would cost over $400+. When I realized that they didn't have any frames I like, I asked for my vision script from the eye exam I just did. The rep told me I could not have my script (,which they charged my insurance more than they quoted me in cash). She said that the Dr had to sign the script first. So I asked her who just gave me the eye exam if not the doctor? She didn't answer. Just told me I had to come back to get my script after the Dr had signed it. I was upset and left. A week later I called to have them send me my scrip by mail. They refused. Said they could only fax it. I haven't had a fax in 20 years. So I called Humana and they called the store to get my script. They were told that they needed to speak with the manager who would be in the store the next day and would call me to resolve the problem. Never called, so I reached out to Humana again and and they finally faxed my script to an office downstairs. One shouldn't have to go through all that to get ones own vision script. they charged the insurance so the script belonged to me. Anyway I got online and found frames direct. There I got a pair of $200 Armani frames and high index progressive lenses lenses for $187. They same lenses that burnside optical said would cost over $400. The rep told me that her price was normal and I wouldn't find a better deal anywhere else. she steered me from any of the no name brand frames, pushed the coatings on the lenses. Anything to add to the price. Slow service, no air-conditioning . The seats are made out of rug matrial. The carpet is the same material as the seating area. Unethical, rude, manipulative crew there. Lastly, none of the frames have any prices one them. The staff can make up any number they want and I believe they do.

Been coming here since I was a child but stopped coming here as an adult since it's become so evident theyre thirsty for commissions and highly unprofessional. They close early during the week but take walk-ins including on the weekends... you come in on the weekend and the doctor is NOT in.... Don't waste your time on this place, plenty of other Opticals with better customer service. If you're gonna come in, make sure you call beforehand so you don't waste your time since their system is so unreliable.

Frame options are limited and generally the same structurally, so if you're into most rounds or squarish type frames you're good. Otherwise, they're not that attractive. The doctor recommended that I get progressive lenses which I have never had before. The doctor told me that if it didn't work that I could come back and that they would fix it. However, what they didn't tell me was that, after I paid for the progressive lenses, and then had to have them removed because it was causing vertigo, that I wasn't going to get my money back - ANY of it - for the progressive lenses, because they already paid for it (even though it was me who paid for it and had to take the brunt of the loss). $200+ down the drain that I wouldn't have chosen if I knew I wasn't going to get it back. I had to fight with them to get another glasses frame for my now non-progressive lenses because that particular frame was falling down my face within 2 days after tightening (which doesn't even work with progressive lenses). Once I pick up my glasses replacement, I will NEVER go back to this optical location.

Excellent experience! Loved all the frame options- so many styles it was hard to choose. Great service too-- I was a walk-in and they helped me right away and were very thorough!

I visit Burnside every year for my eye exams. They have a very professional and knowledgeable staff. They are courteous in English and Spanish. This is truly a hidden gem.

I have been coming to this place since they opened over 17 years ago. My son who is now 21 came here as a boy. The new staff working there are rude and have no idea about the HIPAA federal laws which govern any establishment that have medical information/records. I requested my records and the attendant denied me a copy. She refused despite me citing the HIPAA guidelines where it states a patient has the right to get a copy of their medical records. I know this because I work with the department of health and human services. They picked the wrong person to deny a copy of their records to. I have made a complaint to HHS Citing a violation of my civil rights. Please train your employees as they have no clue on what they are doing.

The 4 ladies they have there are pleasant of your going to just ask questions but when your waiting on something as simple as just picking up your glasses they won't acknowledge you or take forever to call you. I walked out 2 times waiting 2 hours just to pick up my daughter's glasses and another time and the other 1 hour after I called informed them I was on my way.

I've been coming to this optical for years now and it genuinely gets better and better Special shout out to Ismael who makes sure that you are well taken care of, Their service is quick and easy and they are very reliable I definitely will be coming back soon !
