I love this place. I've been serviced here a couple of times. And I must say that every time was very pleasant. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They make you feel comfortable and right at home. The establishment is very clean and organized. They have a very stylish collection of frames to choose from. I'll be returning here for any future services I'll need for myself and my family. I highly recommend elite eye care. Thanks to all the staff for being so helpful and patient with me in helping me choose my frames today. The receptionist was very helpful too.
I was at Elite Eyecare at 3:30pm at the Grand Concourse location and was seen by Dr. Li . Your staff refused to provide me with his full information.
I paid for an eye exam to get contacts. After I was provided with a trial pair, I asked for my prescription and was then told I was required to pay $25 to hand over my RX numbers, which explicitly goes against Part 315, specifically 315.3 of the Federal Trade Commission policy, codified at 15 U.S.C. 7601-7610 under the Fairness to Contact Lens Consumers Act.
Additionally, when I was told how much my prescription was, I asked if I could provide my insurance information and was told they do not take insurance at all, despite there being a history of me getting an exam and purchasing eyeglasses at this location with insurance.
I contacted the office immediately upon arrival of my home to address this negligence and was dismissed. The office then proceeded to call my MOTHER asking her to pay $75 on my behalf for contact lens training that I did not need nor receive as I have had contacts before. The doctor witnessed me putting on the contacts himself. My mother handed the phone to me immediately because she knew it was a scam, and when I addressed the receptionist she immediately put me on hold and told me she "did not know the doctor's first name". I am still on hold after 30 minutes.
UPDATE: was horrifically disrespected by the receptionist over the phone and she hung up on me after screaming obscenities. Incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful environment. Credibility of this establishment is questionable at best.
So much better than the other one on grand concourse. They pulled up the records and it showed that the other place LIED about when they filed for my replacement glasses. Thankfully this place gave me a good pair I was looking for at a good cost. Doesn't hurt that the store looks beautiful too. Very professional workers who are dressed up nice.
Fantastic service. The ladies are very professional and understand how to help pick out glasses that fit well and are functional. They have an extensive amount of options and are very patient with each customer. Thank you ladies for making my daughters experience smooth and pleasant.
Can't say enough good things about this place. I was greeted by the young lady at the desk when I walked in, very professional. After getting my eyes checked the girl at the counter, Julie helped me select the right pair. I was able to use my insurance and pay the difference for my amazing pair of glasses. I will definitely be getting my yearly check ups here.
Probably THE BEST contact lenses experience I've ever had. Everyone was very informative, welcoming, polite and eager to help. Will definitely be back. Thank you!
Horrible experience. I'm sorry, but knowing English in a diverse area would increase their customer base. Long story short: after 4 weeks and multiple attempts at 2 different locations; my child can finally see. I put her prescription in at this location, but it was sent to another. They gave me another child's medical information and sent me on a wild goose chase around the city. They offered ZERO assistance and kept accusing me of being a liar; claiming I had never visited their store and ordered glasses. Why was all of this done? Because an incompetent person registered my child as another child, ordered the glasses with my child's insurance, and sent them to the wrong store. This was exasperated by people who were rude, unprofessional, and outright disrespectful over the phone. I had to solve the mystery myself by contacting my insurance company. Only to go to the other location on 149th st, be ignored for 10 minutes, and discover that the glasses were sent to the original location after an urgent call by their General Manager. Was I called and told this by either location? Nope. Then, this location changed its operating days (which I would know if ppl answered phones), so when I returned... it was closed! FYI: they're not open on Saturday anymore since about 2 weeks ago when I was last there on a Saturday. I returned yet again only to discover they can't find the glasses. Yes! No glasses...again. Finally, after some phone calls to the other location (even after I told them they were hand delivered) and wasted precious time; one of the providers found them sitting on a shelf. So if you like being treated poorly, talked about in Spanish in your face (cuz they assume you don't understand), running around to different locations, and waiting EXTENDED amounts of time for products, service and attention... Then please, by all means, go here. Because I know there's one thing we all love: being treated like we're worthless doormats. I honestly, wouldn't even be so mad if the staff had actually worked to help me solve the problem instead of giving me a nasty attitude. After dealing with with 6 ppl, only 2 weren't rude, and only 1 actually helped me.
