GVS

I went to GVS after having had a horrible experience at another eye care establishment; however, at GVS I was treated like family with respect, courtesy, care from the beginning to the end of eye care service. GVS is now my new place for eye care.

Really bad experience with the doctor. He wouldn't listen to me or my son. Would never recommend anyone.

As of today Wednesday 17th of April 2024 this place is a fraud even tho I never done any exam with them I do it with Montefiore and then get my glasses from them. Today is the last time I will ever come here. Those spanish girls behind the counter are very rude they never pick up their phone when you call. This GVS is a fraud.

I went for an annual eye exam, and I didn't have any problem with near sight, just an old slight far-sight issue. But the Optometrist insisted that because of your age, you have near sight problem too. However, I noticed it is because of the conflict of interest; examining eyes is not profitable for an Optometrist unless they could sell you their glasses; he would benefit more if they could sell progressive bifocals! I highly advise you to get as far as possible from this Vision center as they make you believe you have a problem that you may not have in the first place to sell you eyeglasses! I asked for the prescription to use online, and they gave it. Still, interestingly they didn't provide the pupil distance measurement intentionally as they said because I was not buying the glasses from them! I think the best solution to getting away from this situation you should examine your eyes in one place and buy the glasses from elsewhere not related to the first one!

Dr Silver was great with my twin daughter he was caring, patient and very professional. The exam was quick and he exceeded my expectation. The location is very small and not what I expect as dr office but other than that it was clean and very well maintained. I would definitely come again.

This place deserves zero stars. I went to this location for my annual vision exam and found out this place is nothing but a fraud. I don't have any visual deficits of eye discomfort but the optometrist insisted that I needed glasses for distance vision. When he did his assessment on the phoropter, he kept switching back and forth showing examples of "with glasses, without glasses." He basically masked my vision by making it blurry on the machine to prove that thats my vision "without glasses." When he removed the phoropter from my face, I can see the exact line of letters clearly with my bare eyes. When I questioned the optometrist about this, he says "I'm not the glasses police." He then proceeded to scribe for glasses to which I told him I will not be getting until I get a second opinion. He seemed very disappointed that he wasn't going to make money off of me today. I asked for a copy of the prescription and they made me wait forever even though I was the only one in the office at that time. Stay away from this place if you want an accurate assessment on your vision. The optometrist will diagnose you with something you don't have so you can buy glasses you don't need!!

If I could leave this review without any stars I would! This is the worst optical in the Bronx. Unprofessional and inconsiderate. They have kids working here so there is no professionalism or courtesy whatsoever. It's literally taking a risk using them or their services go somewhere else!

I feel so sad .Manager on point name Sherly offer to change the frame that I paid $350 .Supposedly my RX is wrong ,but she have me trying on frames for an hour and now she said the lab won't allow her to do that . She play me . I would never go back at that site . And don't recommend it. She got loud at me and refuse to give the lab order so my Dr office can compare.
