My oldest daughter made an appointment here a few weeks ago and said it was a great experience. She said they were nice and very informative. I brought my youngest daughter here today for an appointment and got the same lovely treatment. They called yesterday to confirm her appointment. We were seen very timely and they were very informative as to everything they were doing. The lady behind the counter was extremely nice and helpful. I will make sure my kids come here every year and definitely encourage other people to visit if they need an eye exam and/or glasses

I'm new to the area ( well 5 years now ) and wanted to try businesses close to home. I must say it's been a few years now that I have been using Steven John Opticians and no complaints. Easy to schedule appointments. Pleasant staff. Good inventory and they accept my optical plan with the UFT.

Josie was amazing, she's extremely professional and efficient. I would definitely recommend this place!

HORRIBLE AND DANGEROUS!!!! I PAID OVER $200 + MY INSURANCE PAID AND I GOT DRIVING GLASSES SUPPOSEDLY AGAINST GLARE AND TRANSITION LENSES FOR NIGHT DRIVING. GUESS WHAT? MY $12.99 GLASSES NICOLE MILLER FROM MARSHAL'S ARE MUCH BETTER. THESE EXPENSIVE GLASSES HAVE MORE GLARE THAN CHEAP GLASSES OR NP GLASSES. WHEN IT'S SUNNY, THE LENS DOESN'T TURN DARK!!! THIS GUY IS INCOMPETENT AND GREEDY. TAKES A LOT OF MONEY AND GIVES YOU A TERRIBLE PRODUCT!! I USUALLY GET MY GLASSES IN ITALY AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO AS THESE ARE TO BE THROWN OUT!! NO QUALITY!!!! STAY AWAY. YOU WILL SEE MUCH WORSE THAN WITHOUT THESE GLASSES

Today I had an appointment at Steven John Opticians and had a very disappointing experience. I arrived well before my scheduled time, but the owner was rude and dismissive, giving me an attitude over my insurance card. When I booked over a week ago, I never received a text confirmation. I even called twice to confirm both the appointment and that my insurance was cleared. Yesterday, instead of helping me, he said he'd call back but never did. When I showed up today, despite my state insurance being in-network (confirmed by MetroPlus), he was unprofessional and made me feel racially profiled. Rather than providing care or solutions, he was dismissive and unwilling to assist. I would not recommend this place if you want respectful service and reliable care. Guess today wasn't his day, but that's no excuse for treating patients this way. If I could give zero stars I would.

They have great service. They are extremely fast too. I have been a patient here for years. They have bilingual service too.

Always get the first class care I need when my family and I come to have our eyes examined. The staff is always courteous, friendly and respectful of our needs.
