It is not premier in service to customers. I waited for over an hour to be seen (as well as at least 10 other patients) had to re-schedule to an 8:30AM appointment to hopefully avoid the wait and now just being seen at 10:00AM to start the process! Still have exams and to be seen by the doctor. I don't care how much of an expert you are, have the courtesy of honoring people's time. I imagine there are others that have to work as well. And the response was essentially "too bad". The excuse was Dr. Sheindlin's patient load is much more than Dr. Langevin (who I used to see) and quite frankly that's just rewarding a lack of concern for your patients. Dr. Langevin did "great work " (in the words of the doctor that saw me- not even Dr. Sheindlin) and did his best to be personable and care for his patients.
i've been there three times for my mother who needed to see a retina specialist. She had to take tests and eventually get an injection. The doctor and staff are really so professional, patient and really know how to move effortlessly through the crowd. Dr. Sheindlin, Ebony, Stephon, Nico, the front desk and the other assistants really make it easier to come and get through the process. I don't suggest coming if you just need a pair of glasses as an optical center will be faster however, if you need an excellent retina specialist, that is the place to go.
This place is absolutely horrendous. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.
I went in with my dad for an 11:50 a.m. appointment. We arrived at 11:10, checked in (his name was at the top of the list), and patiently waited an hour and a half before going up to the front desk to ask what was going on. Finally, a technician called us in for tests, which took about 30 minutes. Then he had us wait again to see the doctor. We waited another hour and 10 minutes before asking once more what was happening. Eventually, they brought us to the exam room--only for us to sit there for another 35 minutes before the doctor finally walked in. He took less than a minute to say everything looked fine and to come back in a year.
Dr. Spencer Langevin is the doctor's name--likely the only physician there, juggling hundreds of patients. We had an 11:50 appointment and didn't leave until after 3:00 p.m.
How is this considered normal? What's the point of scheduling appointments if you're just going to wait hours? This place desperately needs restructuring. If you go here, don't plan anything else for the day. Very disappointed. This office gives healthcare workers a bad name. Not a single person here seemed to take their job seriously or show any respect for people's time.
I had the pleasure of coming to this space to get serviced. And was help by Ivette. She was very attentive, informative and such a pleasure. :) Will highly recommend!!
The office is in a great location,.The decor is simple and classic. The music is perfect. The staff is exceptionally kind. Dr. Jonathan Sheidlin is a wonderful doctor.
However, the policy of booking clients in back to back intervals boils down to 3+hour wait. This is unacceptable and not respectful to patients. I understand this is about making the most money possible (it's a business! I understand) but to operate in the manner scheduling clients and expecting them to spend hours waiting is truly unkind. Please let patients know that appt time and seen time is extremely different.
Not one person working there would want such treatment for themselves. Granted most clients seem to be in their retirement years, but I doubt they want to be all day at an office. If that's the case then make a social room, provide coffee, tea and snacks. If you are a person still in the workforce this isn't the center for you. Perhaps check to see if the doctor has additional private practice where hopefully your time will be respected.
Came in today to see the doctor for followup
One of staff was checking my eyes and she told me that i was to be dilated,so she went to check and came back with another staff member with fuschia hair. She comes storming in real aggressive and tell me I am seeing a retina specialist and need to be dilated. What manners . When the other staff members who was taking care of me said the doctor said I am never to be dilated.
Received great customer service, pricing and expeditious delivery of my glasses. Maribel was professional, personable, knowledgeable, and attentive to my particular needs. The environment was friendly and caring and the other staff members were also personable and provided great
customer service. Bronx Eye Care has now become my go to choice for my eyeglass needs. I give them my 5 star recommendation.
This review is a bit complicated. The staff and the doctor are excellent. Attentive, kind and professional. However the wait time is unacceptable! 2-3 hours! My mom, being 87 began to get so impatient. Can you blame her? From my understanding, it's one doctor for all the patients. When you schedule your appointment, it's a suggestion, a place holder. Many in waiting room expressed the same dissatisfaction with how long it takes to see the doctor. I'm contrast, Pisacano Eye is efficient. They operate a controlled chaotic environment but you will not have to wait until your next birthday. As one poster had suggested, park in valet parking lot, being a book, and make sure you eat before you get here cause your wait will be as long as the time it took for your eye condition to become a problem
