Vision Quest Optical

The only reason I am giving a 1 star is b/c there is no way to continue with no stars. I 100% agree with most of the reviews about the receptionist there. I have never seen someone who works with dealing with customers giving customers attitude all the time. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a stank face and a look like you are bothering her with your presence. I have gone there a few times b/c I am from the neighborhood but once I found Urban Eyes Optical just across the street in the plaza close to the Burlington Coat Factory - I jumped to the opportunity to go there and let me tell you they did not disappoint. The staff there are very nice and helpful. They are not about the attitude you get from Vision Quest. The Dr was on point with my prescription, and I left very happy and satisfied. So, if you are like me and are close to this area but don't want to deal with the attitude you get from that reception at Vision Quest I highly recommend you take yourself across the street. They take most insurance and although the store is smaller they will get you in and out. Oh, and I was able to get an appointment the same day at Urban Eyes Optical whereas at Vision Quest you have to wait a few days to see the Dr.

Very very very very bad customer service and they overprice everything had glasses that broke they said it costed 700$$!!!!! I went to another spot 10 mins away and it was 250 with every option you could have and very good customer service

Extremely verbally abusive and demeaning treatment of customers. The main woman who works upfront - Vivian - is beyond vicious, disrespectful, and aggressive. When I was confused about and questioned in a normal tone how they were pricing and using my benefit, she immediately started getting angry and raising her voice at me. She started insulting me in front of her colleague and other customers while screaming at / about me from the other side of the store after handing me over to her colleague because she could not stand explaining herself to me. I've never experienced such outright disrespect as a customer. I can understand why other reviewers called these people scammers. They have an unclear way of calculating their bills and their prices for generic frames are really high, and they bully and shout you down to accept how they do things. They also have hidden policies. The woman did not let me simply pay for my eye exam and instead forced me to buy one of their overpriced low quality glasses too. This was not properly stated upfront or on any signage even though she claimed she told me. Came here for a few years but enough is enough. Their behavior has not changed and after this last experience, it's clear that they are getting worse. Toxic place, don't come here.

Called at 330pm on 10/31 to ask if they sell color contacts show up at 3:45 to be told they are closed. Business hours state they close at 6pm

Receptionist is so rude this older lady she looks like she's in her 40s. She has no customer service skills. She doesn't wanna listen to what you have to say. Very very unprofessional. If you're so miserable with your job just quit and find something better this is ridiculous. But the eye doctor and the assistant were good that's why this place gets a 1star or else it not even worth 0 stars. Save your time and go to a place where people are respectful

Seen so many bad reviews and still decided to come in and see them because they are local to me. My experience was a good one. The employees treated me well. They seem to have a decent amount of traffic which may have you waiting around a bit but nothing unreasonable. Employees will give you the same energy you give them. If you're a rude customer, expect that they will be rude right back. That is all. :)

I go to Davis Eye Care on 68th street nyc. I originally did my eye examination with them which went well, the customer service there was GREAT, the staff was very communicative & helpful. They allowed me to even try on glasses that weren't covered through my insurance just in case if I wanted or pay out of pocket but unfortunately I was recommended by this place by my current insurance because my homebase optical place didn't have them, I went to vision quest & already felt the cold energy from this place. The 3 ladies were extremely standoffish, look pass you like you don't matter or as if your just simply invisible. Their customer service skills absolutely SUCKS! I was even more disgusted by their attitude. One lady ignored me as I stood behind the counter for 5 mins trying to get her to notice me to so I can try on another brand of glasses so I proceeded to ask another lady for assistance & was inquiring about a certain model she coldly responded "oh idk honey I would have to go in the back & check so many boxes, their $150 though". Very lazy & not helpful. I go on another side, I am assuming the designer eyewear side of the store & saw a very bright blue pair of glasse that I just wanted to try on since I've never done color eye wear before. The 3rd lady ignored me as well until I said hello can I please try on a pair of glasses & she says "oh who was helping you, the lady that was assisting you is busy & asked me about my insurance. Once I stated my insurance she goes oh you're not covered for that & I said I understand that, what if I'm simply paying out of pocket she goes "oh it doesn't matter we can't sell anything on this side" very rudely. I will continue to go back to my homebase eye care doctor (DAVIS EYE CARE who I recommend) where I am treated as a human being & not brushed off. The staff here definitely discriminates & you looks down upon you when you have MEDICAID insurance. These ladies attitude were so nasty! I will never return & I hope all of them including the owner see's this review :)

Bought my second pair of glasses here and paid 1300. The frame broke when I went in to ask the person in tge front had attitude and told me I need to get new frames. She didn't try to check the system and offer anything. I definitely won't return here and many ppl should stay away
