I'm never going back to my old optical store. Contact lens fitting was so thorough and great at explaining different options. They are also excellent location for uft teachers as they don't give you an either or option for using money towards lenses or Dr fitting and gave me the option of allowing me to choose. This made everything cheaper for me. I ended up spending $300 less than I normally would at my previous location. Also they are the nicest and most accommodating receptionists and nurses at front desk. They expedited shipping for me because I needed lenses in a pinch before my travels. I will never go anywhere else!
I am 65 and after years of using readers it was my visit to an optometrist. I have health issues I was worried we're affecting my vision but Dr and the staff were great and put my fears to rest right away. The waiting time was very reasonable. The office is professionally run, and everyone was informed and helpful. Glad I chose this office for my first pair of prescription glasses!
Absolutely love this place! I've had both my eye exam and eye test to renew my license, and everything was smooth! The staff is unbelievably professional and friendly! A+ across the board! The place is brightly lit and very clean.
1. "We explained your exam options" -- this is not true.
Nobody explained any exam options. I asked specifically whether my insurance covers an annual exam, and instead of explaining anything, the receptionist immediately offered a $10 option without telling me what it includes and without explaining the difference between medical and vision coverage.
2. "You never informed us you wanted a contact lens evaluation" -- also not true.
The staff asked me: "Are you wearing contacts or glasses?"
I thought the question was about the moment, so I said I removed them before the exam.
Later the doctor asked almost the same question, and again I said that I wear both, but I removed them for the exam.
If the clinic meant to ask whether I generally wear contacts -- they should have clarified the question, instead of assuming my answer.
Miscommunication could have been cleared up with one simple clarifying question, but nobody asked it.
3. They now claim the $10 visit was a "routine examination."
After researching my insurance, I found out that my medical plan does NOT include an annual routine eye exam.
So their claim that I had a routine exam is simply false.
They used my medical insurance incorrectly and then tried to present it as routine vision coverage, which is not accurate.
4. Nobody explained that they needed my vision insurance information.
Over the phone, I explained clearly that I have Aetna VISION insurance but never received my card. I asked whether she could check it using my medical insurance number because Aetna told me it is the same ID as medical insurance.
At no point did anyone explain:
* that my medical plan was being used instead of my vision plan,
* that an annual exam requires vision insurance,
* or that I needed to provide additional vision insurance details.
Because of these mistakes, I was not given accurate information, was not offered the correct exam, and did not receive the services I scheduled.
Their response to my review contains multiple statements that do not match what actually happened.
What makes this experience even more frustrating is that I had to do my own research afterward to understand what actually happened. The receptionist clearly used my medical insurance without ever explaining that this was not the correct coverage for an annual routine vision exam. She never told me that if I wanted my annual exam, I needed to provide information about my vision insurance. Instead of simply communicating this, she let me stay confused the entire time, looked at me strangely when I asked normal questions about my coverage, and made me feel like I was asking something unreasonable. Basic communication could have prevented all of this.

This is my favorite place for vision care. The two young women at the front desk are very pleasant and easy to talk with. I was taken promptly for my comprehensive eye exam which covered all aspects of my eyes. Dr. Kainat Akhter the optometrist who examined me was a complete professional. She took the time to listen to me and addressed all my concerns. I would highly recommend her and the entire staff and store for anyone needing vision care that wants to feel valued as a patient and customer.
The staff workers was very respectful polite the service was quick. It was not a long wait. The environment was clean. The only thing they need to do inside their office is to replace the chairs get new chairs.
I've been a loyal patient at this optical clinic for nearly 10 years, and I can confidently say they continue to exceed expectations. The doctor has outstanding bedside manners--always taking the time to listen, explain, and ensure you feel truly cared for. The staff is equally attentive, professional, and kind, creating a welcoming and supportive environment at every visit.
Over the years, I've referred multiple family members here, and they've all had similarly excellent experiences. The pricing is very reasonable, and I really appreciate how the team works with each customer's budget. During my most recent visit to purchase contact lenses, they even price-matched the cost I found on 1-800-Contacts--something you rarely see these days.
On top of all that, their warranty policy on frames and lenses is by far the best I've encountered. It gives me peace of mind knowing my eyewear is protected.
Highly recommend this location for anyone looking for quality care, exceptional service, and great value.
