City Center Optical

Generally very poor experience. I wouldn't recommend you purchase glasses using insurance here because they will sell you substandard $30 frame and bill the insurance company for 4 times the price. An example is the frame Zimco Attitudes 47 frames that retail online for as low as $27.50 but Citu Center Optical will charge the insurer much higher and deliver a poor product to you. The representative was highly combative and condescending. Have purchased glasses from them previously, but am afraid it is the last time. There is far better, professional and more helpful service at other neighbourhood opticians. A little bit of kindness and customer service goes a long way in our neighborhood, but sadly you won't find it at this store.

Love them here. They're so kind, engaging, and fair. Recently tried Eyepic lower down Flatbush because it's closer to where I moved to -- but being used to the service at City Center Optical-- I couldn't stand their attitudes nor their prices. Got my money back quickly and came right back to City Center!

Arrived last night in NYC after a gruelling 20 hour flight from Sydney, Australia and I left my reading glasses in the plane. Arghh! I woke up this morning and did a google search and found City Center Optical Anddd..... voila for a small sum of $$$ I have a new pair of prescription reading glasses in a nice new frame. The ladies behind the counter and the Madame the eye doctor were extremely nice and helpful. Also the owner who cut my lenses. (If you speak French you also get nice smiles and laughter) Great experience and great glasses.

They go above and beyond to help you pick the perfect frames, lenses, and coatings within your budget. The on-site lab makes getting glasses quick and convenient. I also appreciate how they follow up to ensure you are fully satisfied with your new glasses or contacts. I always refer my friends and family to City Center Optical. Their reasonable prices and exceptional service make them the best place for eye care in NYC!

Had a fantastic experience here. The staff are quick, kind, and organized. They ran my insurance super efficiently. The doctor explained each step to me and they provided me with my prescription and sample contacts right away, immediately ordering the exact model of the samples I wanted. I will definitely make this clinic my permanent spot for eye care. Thank you!!

My wife lost her glasses and they were able to make a new pair in about 30 minutes. The price was much less expensive than national chains. They were very pleasant and helpful.

Okay. I am not no disgruntled SYEP participant who "attacked your character" I was nice to you actually so I want to know what being clear you're talking about because I was not rude to you AT ALL. I was actually nice and patient. Might as well admit you have a very nasty attitude and you can't even display a PROPER character. Done with this conversation. I have 100% respect for the owner but not for the person in charge of the SYEP. Thank you.

Best Optical ever. Everyone is so friendly and professional. I travel all the way from Harlem just to go here. They're so efficient and always get my glasses done in a timely manner. Everyone should go here ! I love itttt!
