They botched my lenses and refused to give me a refund. I made an appt for contacts in Nov and when I got there I was told they didn't have time to do it, but I was due for my annual checkup. Since I was there I said ok even though my current glasses were fine. The doctor who examined me confirmed that my prescription was the same, which I already figured, but said she'd make it stronger because I'd outgrow it soon enough. I should have realized this made no sense and was just a way to make me pay for new lenses. I wore that new prescription for about two weeks before I realized my eyes were incredibly strained and I was getting headaches. I went back and told them this was way too strong and asked if I could just have my old prescription back (as that was in fact my correct prescription). I got the lenses redone, but my eyes were still a mess weeks later, and I was struggling to see in a way I never have before. I went back and asked if they could check that the lenses were made correctly. They didn't even look at them. Instead, they told me to get reexamined, where another doctor confirmed my prescription hadn't changed, but said my eyes were really dry and that's why I couldn't see. So I used eyedrops for about a week, but in the meantime, I ordered a cheap spare pair from Zenni online using my original, prescription (which they claimed they'd put back in). I got that spare pair today and almost cried because, for the first time in six weeks, I can see. This wasn't dry eyes. It was a completely botched pair of lenses. I don't know how or what they did to botch those glasses, but I went back expecting to be given a refund after they finally looked at the pair they gave me and caught whatever error was made. Instead, the man again REFUSED to look at them, instead wanting to see my new pair from Zenni, which he then claimed were a different prescription from the one they gave me. It is not. I literally uploaded the Cohen prescription into Zenni. He rolled his eyes at me for almost fifteen minutes, telling me I was wrong and confused and that the glasses they gave me were fine and I must have used another prescription for Zenni. Then he started claiming they'd given me 3 different prescriptions and I truly have no idea what that was about. They never gave me a copy for the too strong one and it was when I came back a third time that I asked to be emailed a copy of my original prescription, which is the sole prescription they ever gave me personally. At best he might have been confusing me with another customer, at worse he was now making up wild lies to make me look like I was crazy, as if they can't look at their records and see they only sent me one prescription and it was the same one I'd originally walked in with. I finally left since it was clear he was never going to check these glasses for errors, admit they messed them up and give me a refund. I've now filed a claim with my bank to hopefully get my money back, but if I end up with permanent damage after wearing those botched glasses for six weeks, I'll be looking into taking legal action. I'm sure any other optometrist will be able to look at those glasses and know that something is egregiously off with them. I'm an author and had to take a week off from working when I'm on deadline because I literally could not see. This wasn't a prescription being slightly off, the glasses were completely botched and Cohen Optical refused to accept responsibility for it. That they wouldn't even re-check those lenses is madness. I've worn glasses since I was 10 and never in my life have I experienced the headaches, blurred vision, eye strain and all the symptoms than go with it than I have in the last 6 weeks. And this all began with me getting glasses from this store. To shake your head, tell me I'm wrong and refuse to give me my money back when I have spent 6 weeks trying to get you to fix these glasses?? I walked into Cohen Optical with zero issues and left there half blind. It's like they put in my prescription backwards.

I've never experienced such great service. Because parking is difficult they ran out my order to me. I've been to eye disease specialists and the Ophthalmologist here helped me more! The technician was also incredibly helpful and thoughtful.

Going to this particular Cohen has been a God Send for me. Each and every time I've walked into the building, whether for an exam, pick-up or to get my earpieces tightened, I was always welcomed and spoken to like family. I always leave there laughing.

My Aunt bought a pair of glasses. She was never fitted and returned 4 times to have them fixed. On the last visit , she found out only one person can adjust glasses. She waited 40 minutes while he ate his lunch in front of her. She is 92 years old. The glasses still keep sliding off her face. She had to go some place else and purchased a new pair of glasses. They deserve no stars. Staff should be retrained for customer service or fired.

Previously had nothing but good experiences here in the past. This time around I had my eyes done and a new prescription written. I couldn't not afford any of the frames there along with my prescription, so I asked for my prescription to be emailed to me so I could get my glasses done online cheaper. I placed my order and my glasses came back completely effed up. To the point where I was sure something was wrong. I went to the store to find out and it turns out they had emailed me the INCORRECT PRESCRIPTION. And instead of at least saying "sorry" (those words were never uttered) I was told repeatedly "this is the correct one" -as he pointed to the one he printed it out to show me. Awesome. Well the glasses I ordered and have been waiting for are now wrong and have to be retuned and remade because I was sent the INCORRECT PRESCRIPTION. Had specifically ordered them to have before the holidays and won't now. He basically shrugged and told me "it must've been computer error" instead of taking any accountability on the situation, showing any concern or say sorry at least. Very disappointing, won't be coming back here again. I am a photographer and cannot risk having my eyes effed up by a sloppy error.

It's absolutely appalling how disgusting customer service is. You are selling glasses, how hard is it to be kind! The black girl is absolutely rude. My family & I have been coming here for over 20 years since they were across the street. Most of my family have left as customers now due to horrible service. And now I will be leaving as well.

I came in for an eye appointment. They needed my name, DOB, and social security number, which is fine. However, the employee was just writing all this information on a piece of scratch paper. It seemed unprofessional and potentially dangerous. They should consider providing clients with paperwork that clients can fill out themselves. Anyway, I left and did not get my eyes checked, so I cannot speak to their overall services.
