Dr. Shobit Rastogi

After watching quick forming cataracts over nine months, Dr Rastogi suggested surgery using Premium lenses. In the case of both eyes, the morning after surgery I had 20/20 vision and an entirely bright view of the world, a corrected stigmatism and I can read for several hours without glasses! Amazing surgeon, very pleasant person with a colorful array of shoes and socks! It does not get better than this!

I've wore glasses since 5 yrs old, very very high myopic, (always thick glasses and contact lenses). Later, I developed a difficult juvenal glaucoma, difficult to control with any drops or pills, so I went to two emergency glaucoma surgeries over the years, the first one on 2005, then the second on 2010, that's when Dr. Rastogi took over. Since then my glaucoma it's been under control, NO DROPS AT ALL, but I couldn't use any more contacts lenses. After surgeries and needles, you always develop cataracts, which are never easy after glaucoma surgeries, and weak retinas. But Dr. Rastogi did it again, a GREAT job I was very scare, but I new he was going to do his best, like he always does. He's very caring, professional and knowable, he knows what's he's doing and he's always clear and patience, if you have an emergency, he will call you on his day off. His office is clean, all his staff is very nice too. I definitely recommend him to all my friends and family. Do not hesitate to go to him, he goes above and beyond with check-ins & call backs after your surgeries and even after those surgeries too, if there is an issue, he's there for you. I don't have enough words to thank him for another opportunity in my quality of life. I can see now very clearly, like never before!!! Even though he's about an hour away from where I live I still come to him, no one else can touch my eyes. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!

Kudos and my gratitude to Dr. Rastogi for his consistence, professionalism, dedication and empathy while taking me through very complicated and serious glaucoma issues. I found Dr. Rastogi extremely reassuring, as he utilized his humorous nature which always decreased my intense stress level during a visit. Staff is very receptive and responsive to the needs and concerns of the patients, and do their best so accommodate those unexpected emergency visits. I highly recommend Dr. Rastogi and this practice to anyone who is seeking exceptional eye care!!!

I have had very poor vision ever since I was in grade school. Then, in my early seventies, I developed cataracts in both eyes and my vision (even with heavy glasses) became blurry. Dr. Rastogi replaced my natural lenses with two artificial lens: one optimized for distance vision and the other optimized for reading. This has been a life-changing event. I don't need to wear glasses anymore. Both my long-distance vision and my ability to read (without any reading glasses) are great. He is a personable and professional doctor, who explains the pros and cons of your options. He exudes confidence, which is what you want in a surgeon. But more importantly he does a very large number of cataract surgeries. All the medical studies show you want a surgeon who does the operation often, and that's what you get with Dr. Rastogi.

I had to have cataract surgery on both of my eyes this past fall and I was a bit apprehensive because as a child I had both eyes operated on for congenital glaucoma. Dr. Rastogi explained all my options but never pressured me in any one direction. He was always willing to answer my questions as was his staff and surgical specialists. I chose to have ocular implants and it has changed my life! I now no longer have to wear glasses to see at a distance (I've worn glasses since I was 4 years old) and my vision is better than it has been in years. My quality of life has already changed. I would highly recommend Dr. Rastogi, I wish I could give him 6 stars!

In 2011, my glaucoma condition was so dangerous that I was referred to Dr. Rastogi. Since then, Dr. Rastogi has carefully treated my eyes and saved me from a variety of complications. He explains the need for each treatment and over the years he has altered my medications, used a laser, implanted a valve and kept me driving and seeing normally. He is gentle, persuasive and sincere, and his judgement has proven correct in every instance.

I had cataracts removed from both eyes by Dr. Shobit Rastogi, MD and he has done an amazing job. My vision has increased considerably and, I highly recommend the good Doctor if you are considering removing your cataracts.

Dr. Rastogi has the best bedside manners I've ever encountered. Always caring for his patients wellness. Office is clean and staff are always nice to you. One of the best Opthamologist in Brooklyn. I recommend him to all my family and friends. Tks Dr. Rastogi.
