Dr. Stevens was very knowledgeable and kind. She answered all of my questions and clearly explained my options. The staff, especially the optician was also very kind. She adjusted my frame without me needing to ask and they fit like new. I'm happy to have an eye care location so close to home.
I called with an additional question after getting home. The receptionist answered quickly and was able to get a response for me on the same call. I really appreciate the kindness they showed me today!
Good doctors but shady billing and services added on. I have insurance that covers my appointment but they are never clear on what is additional and what's not. There are much better optometrists around.
The receptionist cancelled my appointment because I was 10 minutes late. I was delayed due to my train being stuck. Felt like an excuse as there was no one waiting and no doctors appeared to be in. Thoroughly unprofessional and complete waste of my time.
I've been here twice before. While the first visit was fine, the second time the staff came across as unprofessional and dismissive, which was disappointing. On top of that, I'm now having trouble reaching them -- I've been calling to ask a simple question about my prescription (which seems to be missing information), but no one is picking up. I shouldn't have to book and pay for another appointment just to clarify something that may have been miswritten. I really want to find a good, reliable place, but they need to improve both professionalism and communication.
Dr. Stevens is great, unfortunately never coming back since I've been waiting for a month and a half for them to get a pair of medically necessary prescription sunglasses back correctly, and the front desk person has been giving me the runaround, and making up lies about causes of the delay, including an elaborate one about how they're waiting for the insurance company to send the lenses (insurance companies don't do this).
Extremely unprofessional and rude staff!
The initial eye exam went great, but when I went back to pick up my glasses the prescription was way too strong!
When trying to explain to DR. MARKIEL YAKUBOV that my prescription was too strong, he replied that the prescription was already reduced, and tried to make it seem like I was wrong and crazy!
DO NOT waste your money on this place!
I will be going to Walmart to get my glasses correctly prescribed!
Dr Carly Stevens is fantastic! I was looking for a new optometrist after I switched insurance, and was apprehensive because I liked my old doctor so much. Turns out I had nothing to worry about, as Dr Stevens is super knowledgeable and patient - gave me multiple chances to ask questions, and explained my test results in such a clear way. I left feeling very confident that I'm in good hands. Thank you Dr!
I never had the chance to meet the black woman I so wanted to support. I was greeted by a young Hispanic girl wearing braces and another staff member when I went in for an eye exam. She was pleasant enough for the most part, but when I went to the back, I saw a different doctor. I was perplexed when I asked where Doctor Zoe was, as I was informed she had been called out; it would have been helpful to know when I checked in.
The replacement was kind and asked if I wanted to reschedule. I said that was fine, and we went on with the examination. She was kind and gave me some eye medication, which I later discovered had never been sent to my pharmacy. I returned to the front desk after the exam, paid my co-pay, and ordered some contacts, which I was informed would be available in seven to ten days. That was okay; however, I noticed it was taking longer than the ten days I was told it would take. I decided to call and inquire about the hold-up (strike 2). It took more than a month, and nothing was said. I was informed that my order was in backorder; however, two days later, after the call, I was told it was ready. I had to wait until the weekend because i was busy at work during the week.
On my day off, I went to Downtown, but it was closed. I was quite irritated when I called the number listed on their website and saw that Google indicated they were open. Fortunately, I was able to leave work early the following week and go pick up my order. "Are you guys closed on the weekend?" I asked the same Latina girl wearing braces who greeted me when I arrived. She replied that it was something they had just started. I told her that the website needed to be updated because it had been closed when I arrived, and she simply nodded. NO apologies, Remorse. She was on her phone and continued to chew gum. I took my order, left I WILL NOT BE BACK I REALLY WANTED TO SUPPORT BUT HER STAFF IS LACKING!!!!
