I visited your office to have my glasses repaired. During the visit, a staff member began discussing my personal family situation after I briefly mentioned that I have not seen my father due to past abuse and trauma. He stated that it was 'not a big deal' and suggested that I should visit him.

Poor experience, lack of professionalism, irresponsible, unreliable, lack of care. Male staff member took my glasses order and forgot to send it in, missing the end of year for my vision insurance coverage. I had to call weeks later, after I hadn't received word of my finished glasses. It was not the insurance company's fault. In addition, he escalated and yelled when we were on the phone with no provocation. Extremely stubborn. Literally would not stop wiping my glasses with abrasive paper, even when I said it was fine and I would wipe it myself with a soft towel. I had to ask three times and explain why it's bad to wipe lenses with paper or tissue of any kind before he would acknowledge my request and stop goin at it. Plainly a terrible experience.

I had such a pleasant experience at First Vision. I needed to get updated prescription for my contacts. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and Dr. Freeman was excellent and incredibly communicative which I appreciated.

Ive been going here for years until I recently changed my insurance and they don't accept it . Both the doctor and the front desk man are very kind, professional and accommodating. I've purchased at least 4 pair of glasses from them. Highly recommend!

My family has been customers to first vision for over 10 years. Always greeted in respectful manners every time. It never feels like it's business and customer but rather friend to friend. Dr. Freeman is one of the best eye doctors I've experienced over the year. Uses best judgement and makes sure that you leave with the most accurate prescription. Aaron is always in a positive mood and has never failed to make sure all questions and concerns have been addressed. I don't live in NYC any more but still go here when I'm in town. Can't put a price on leaving extremely satisfied every time.

My family and I have been patrons of First Vision Optical for almost 20 years and if anyone were to enter the establishment, it would be obvious as to why. Dr. Freeman and his staff exude a professional and respectful demeanor that is second to move. Simply put, he earns your patronage with every visit. Dr. Freeman is incredibly knowledgeable and personable, and stresses his patients quality of care above all. His staff are honest and all the frames I've ever bought have been exceptional in quality. do my best to support black owned business, but this place is horrible. The dr. is not the issue here. it's definitely whom ever he has working there. The man at the front will be the cause of this practice losing clients. He is ignorant and unprofessional which is sad because the doctor made me feel very comfortable and is very efficient at what he does. I WISH I could give 0 stars trust it would happen

Dr. Freeman is the best eye doctor I've ever been to! Great bedside manner and he really goes to bat for you. I was diagnosed with keratoconus nearly 5 years ago and have seen 5 eye doctors since, 2 of whom were ophthalmologists and all of whom said my eye sight MAY be able to be fixed with hard contacts but vision insurance rarely cover them because they're so expensive to size. Dr. Freeman is the ONLY doctor to ever even try to make a request with my insurance and they went ahead and approved it! I've seen dozens of eye doctors in my life and he's definitely the best.
