I enjoyed my visit the first time I came but they only seem to care about NEW patients and not existing ones. I called with eye infection emergency, they told me they can either see me right that hour or not at all. Unfortunately I was at work and commute is too long, so front desk lady suggested any optical store or citi md, that they will be able to prescribe drops I need. That's what I did, however almost 2 days later no relief and my eyes only got worse. More swollen, worsen vision, non stop burning and itching. Pure misery. I called, understanding office is busy I asked for not same day appointment but next day so I can have better chance to be accommodated. The front desk lady immediately asked if I'm a new patient?! And then told me that for existing patients next new appointment is November. I explained I have emergency and pleaded they squeeze me in to help me, to which she said they can take my number and call if "anything pops up". That's what they tell their existing patients that are in dire need and emergency. Front desk told me again to go to Citi md or optical store, I explained I have done that and my symptoms are only worse. She said well I don't know what to say but we don't have time?! Safe to say the office will not be seeing me.

Highly recommend. Dr.Yagnatovsky and personal were magnificient, enjoyed my visit.

I recently had cataract surgery and from very first consultation Dr. Ilona Genis and the team were professional, kind, and reassuring. The surgery was quick and painless and staff made sure I was comfortable the entire time. Within a day, I noticed a huge improvement in my vision. I am very grateful to Dr. Ilona Genis and the wonderful team. It's truly life-changing.

It feels like you are in a clinic from the time of socialism. This is an office where the doctor behaves quite correctly, but the stuff behave in such a way that you feel as if something is wrong with you. But even so, you could force yourself to close your eyes to it. But the farce begins from the moment when a certain Margarita sets the day of surgery. Any questions is commented in such a way that you want to turn into a robot and remain silent. Thanks God, the day of the surgery has been set. Two days later I received a call from Margarita that she has to reschedule this appointment (without a basic apology). Since I wasn't ready for this, I said that I have to look at my calendar . Meanwhile she was talking to other people in the same time. When she finished talking to them, she began screaming hysterically: "Are you ready?" And when I asked her to schedule in the morning since I am a diabetic, she responded that everybody is diabetic this days.... When I asked her to change the tone, she hung up. And never called me back. I understand that without having me as a patient, Dr. Genis probably won't suffer much. But it is a small world in Brooklyn, and so far two surgeries has been lost (for me and my cousin). And this despite the fact that the doctor has nothing to do with it...

This doctors office is the friendliest, cleanest and extremely knowledgable. They have consistently helped me with issues regarding my eyes and go above and beyond to make sure i'm in no pain and get the treatment i need. For that, i am extremely grateful do Dr. Genis and her staff. Time and time again they put their patients first. -Liliya Tulchinsky
