2 hours of my life completely wasted. I will never support this business again.
I saw the glowing reviews about the service and expected a similar level of professionalism. I scheduled an eye exam for Tuesday, and due to the blizzard, a representative proactively called me on Sunday to reschedule for Wednesday. That gave me confidence that the business was organized and respectful of customers' time.
When Wednesday arrived and I showed up for my rescheduled appointment, the doors were locked, the store was completely closed, and not a single employee was present. There was no sign, no notification, and no communication whatsoever.
I called the number provided and was told someone would look into it and call me back. I stood outside in the cold for 20 minutes, repeatedly knocking and waiting, hoping someone would arrive or at least follow up. During that entire time, no one showed up and no one called me back. To make matters worse, I had to use the restroom badly and was stuck waiting outside with no options, thinking someone would arrive any minute.
Eventually, I received an anonymous WhatsApp call from someone who I assume was management. They told me the store was closed due to the storm and claimed an employee had tried to call me but couldn't reach me because my voicemail box was full. This is simply not true. My voicemail box is not full, and I checked my call history, the only call I ever received from this business was the Sunday call when we agreed to reschedule for Wednesday. No one attempted to contact me after that.
What's most frustrating is not just the wasted time, but the complete lack of accountability, communication, and basic respect for customers. Showing up to a confirmed appointment only to find a locked, empty store, and then being given an excuse that is factually incorrect is unacceptable.
I will never support a business that operates this way or treats customers' time so carelessly.
This place rocks, they have excellent customer service, great prices, sales people are very knowledgeable and even more helpful.
Would come back every day if needed new glasses:)
OUTSTANDING SALES & CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
I came in from Upstate to buy new glasses and the salesman understood what I am looking for and guided me to the most beautiful pair in a short time...
it was worth my trip from upstate only for this!
HIGHLY RECOMENDED
David is the guy you want to ask for ! This guy excellent he knows what he's doing when it comes to glasses 100%
Special thanks to David for his immaculate customer service. The staff paid special attention to my needs, they are friendly, and they make sure every customer walks away satisfied.See you soon for my other lenses!
They really care about their customers and want you to be happy. They will go the extra mile to make sure of that. Great selection of nice modern styles with many options. Especially if you live in the area, check em out.
After trying to have my favorite eyeglass frames fitted with new lenses (which I have had for more than 20 years), several other opticians told me that they would need to send the frames out for repair, or, that they couldn't be repaired; it sounded like those other guys were either:
a) unqualified to do the repair,
b) too lazy to do the repair
c) simply wanted to sell me a new frame
I paid $169 (over 20 years ago, so they are not cheap junk frames) and I wanted to put these back to use.
Here is my story. I had completely worn out the head of one of the screws that hold one of the arms onto the frame.
If you wear glasses, you should know that every so often the screws get loose.
Many people buy a little screwdriver, usually in an inexpensive "repair kit" to tighten up the screws themselves, and life goes on. So after many, many times of doing this throughout the years, I eventually wore out the head of one of the the screws, so no more tightening was possible.
I do not believe in the new way of thinking which is "just buy a new one", not if the item can easily be repaired.
After taking these glasses to a couple of other places, I was starting to get frustrated because nobody could help.
I stopped into Greater Optics, just to try one more place and to my pleasant surprise, tehy told me to bring them in.
A young man named Dovy Klein, (optician at Greater Optics) carefully drilled out the screw which, I watched him do with extreme care and precision. Not only did he have the special tools to do the job, he had the expertise of a fine craftsman.
He put in two new screws, cleaned the frames, a couple of new nose pads and my eyeglass frames are just like new.
He wouldn't take any money from me either. Wow.
Now, I have a place that I feel confident taking my eyeglass business to, as well as recommending to other people as well.
I just had a very good experience with Dr Wernick at the vision center. He was very friendly and made my son feel very comfortable. But more importantly, he doesn't just prescribe eye glasses, he really cares. He made sure to advise me on how to prevent my sons number from going higher and made sure that my son remembers it. and when I was already in the lobby, he came to tell me that he forgot to tell me one thing that he realized about dry skin near the eye lashes and what to do about it.
I definitely would recommend GO vision center
