I felt compelled to write a review because I had such a wonderful experience with Dr. Babb. He has a special way of disarming you and making you feel so comfortable so easily and quickly. He is extremely knowledgeable and I felt he was "on my side" in terms of providing care. His staff is friendly and the office is very nice. Please do not have any reservations to go see him!

Had a great experience with Dr. Babb. I was desperate to find a same-day appointment due to some ongoing eye discomfort and his team was able to fit me in. His thoroughness and genuine care are at the cornerstone of his approach, which is so rare to see today. He spent a long time with me going through my vision test and diagnosing my issue, and even provided me with the medicine needed to treat my eye. There was a bit of a wait, but I understand why after seeing how hands on he is with his patients. Grateful that doctors like this exist!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! We were fortunate to stumble upon Dr. Babb's office after a disappointing experience with another ophthalmologist nearby. The staff at the previous office was rude and unhelpful, so we turned to Google Maps for an alternative and found Dr. Babb. From the moment we called, the assistant was incredibly friendly and accommodating, offering to fit us in for an eye emergency my girlfriend was experiencing. Dr. Babb's expertise and professionalism were evident throughout our visit. He took the time to thoroughly understand the situation, provided a clear diagnosis, and guided us towards a solution. We were impressed by his knowledge and grateful for his kindness. Dr. Babb is a remarkable ophthalmologist who exceeded our expectations.

I had a terrific experience with this practice and Dr. Babb. After completing my frantic search on Google, I called the office and to my delight spoke to a lovely young lady who helped me snag a same day appointment. When it was my turn, Dr Babb personally called me onto his examining room and after the visit he walked me out. My issue was minor, but he took time to explain everything about my condition and didn't rush me -- something I have encountered at high-volume cookie-cutter practices. Not a fancy waiting room, but completely comfortable and clean. I did have a wait, but he immediately apologized for it. Given the excellent care and attention I received and I saw him provide the other patients before me, it was worth it.

Dr. Babb is by far the best eye doctor I have had. He is very detailed in his explanations as to the status of your eye health. He is patient. He is compassionate. He cares. Also his staff is very professional. For the first time in my life I look forward to visiting the "eye doctor".

Dr. Babb is an amazing doctor, he is very kind, caring and patient. It's rare to find a doctor who balances professionalism with such a deep level of empathy and kindness. The staff is great too, they are very professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place.

Dr. Babb and his medical staff are the best. Upon entering his office, one can't help but notice his naturally beautiful and healthy looking medical receptionists. Dr. Babb', the man himself, is a dying breed. His office is equipped with first class, top of the line, ophthalmologist exploratory examination equipment. You may enter his office ignorant as to what your eye issues are;; however, when you leave...you will have a thorough understanding about your eyes, what medical procedures need to be done, causes and effects. Dr. Babb will show you pictures of your actual inner eye, educate you on the causes, and the proper procedures to follow. In addition, he will refer you to medically intellectually gifted professionals for surgical procedures. Professionals that are highly qualified. In my case, I ended up enjoying 20/20 vision after one procedure.. Through the years, my eyes have belong to Dr. Babb and company. Dr. Babb listens to your concerns and is a compassionate man.

I've had the privilege of entrusting my eye care to Dr. John Babb for two decades. He is "hands down" the BEST ophthalmologist in the New York City area. Dr. Babb conducts thorough eye exams; utilizing the latest equipment,while also drawing on his extensive experience as an ophthalmologist and eye surgeon . He takes time to consult and answer questions; taking particular care to ask you, the patient, if you are following your regimen ( using your prescribed eye drops, for example). The office is clean, comfortable and convenient to all modes of transportation; and the staff is friendly.
