Kochman, Lebowitz & Mogil MD's, LLP

I have been a patient at Kochman, Lebowitz & Mogil MD's, LLP for more than 10 years and have always appreciated the excellent office and knowledgeable doctors. A few years ago, I even had cataract surgery there with great results. However, I was recently referred to Dr. Elena Geller, and it turned out to be the worst experience of my life. She is, by far, the rudest doctor I have ever encountered. I will never schedule another appointment with her and strongly do not recommend her.

I had a terrible experience with the office staff my mother is scheduled for surgery of Monday morning and never got a call with the details of when to expect the surgery and what time to go to the office. on Friday afternoon I called to try and get that information before the weekend, was told the coordinator is not there, the girl on the phone said she does not know, that the supervisor is in the OR, refused to give me the name of the supervisor and refused to give me her name. and as a matter of fact, when I asked for her name she abruptly hung up the phone on me. I am no longer comfortable with my mom getting any kind of care in such a place and will make sure the surgeon is aware of that. I will find my mom a better suited surgery center. very disappointing and upsetting since my mom had surgery there many years ago and it was a better experience then.

Dr. Mogil is a great Doctor. Her bedside treatment is phenomenal. She is very sweet, nice and very professional including her assistant, Angela, who also possesses the same personal traits. However, the front desk took an hour just to verify and confirm my insurance plan and coverage and they were not really efficient by doing so when they told me that my insurance was inactive but when I told them to call the number, they were able to get all the answer they need. They went and check only online but did not attempt to call at first.

Very nice and quick. Dr Szlechter is the most kind and understanding doctor I have ever seen. I suffer from severe panic attacks and he helped calm me down and reassured me during my procedures. He understood when I was too panicked to continue and helped me eventually do everything I needed.

Very Good doctors; but very difficult to get in contact with anyone when needed. I've waited on hold for 36 minutes one time, and when I called from a work number, they picked up. I would love to give this place 5 stars because the ophthalmologist seems to be really great! But the front staff, though they are somewhat polite, they make it nearly impossible to get the simplest of information or even to request a refill. So if don't ever plan on calling, it's a great place. But if you ever anticipate trying to contact the office for any reason, STAY AWAY!

I had the misfortune of coming down with a very serious eye infection and searched for an new opthalmology specialst; as I had previously dealt with a few clowns and vowed never to make the same mistake twice. Then a familiar name; Dr Laurey Mogil popped up on Google and I was lucky enough to get an appointment...I was treated there, diagnosed with a nasty infection and treated by Dr Mogil and then sent to a surgeon who helped me avoid surgery. The lady is down to earth, very endearing and caring..the office actually treats and takes care of you; allaying any fears you may have! I highly recommend her and her office!

This practice gives superb medical treatment and I'm so thankful that I found them through a doctor's referral. I enjoy telling everyone about them since they are thorough and communicate what's going on and the results I've had is excellent. Lately I've been going to Dr. Geller. She did my blepharoplasty of my eyelids and did an incredible job. I had a most thorough examination including a field of vision test. She walked me through the procedure so I would know what to expect. She did a great job. When I was in recovery I was impressed with how much more I could see. My healing was relatively fast. If I had a concern I had access to her. I have seen some of the other ophthalmologists as well and have always had a positive experience. I recommend KLM and, in particular, Dr. Geller, to anyone looking for an eye doctor.

I have been coming here since I was 8 years old and have always received optimal, thorough and compassionate care. Was seen by Dr. Mogil today and was blown away her gentle manner and willingness to explain every aspect of my glaucoma screening...she is a specialist for glaucoma. Can't recommend enough...also excellent and reasonably priced glasses dept (shout out to Alex!) And contact lens department. Thank you for everything you've done for me!
