I've been coming to this LensCrafters in the KP mall all my life. I've always had super sweet opticians that were able to assist with me picking out the right type of frames for my high prescription in my right eye, as a result of being born prematurely at birth. I'm so upset and distraught to learn that most LensCrafters stores now do not carry lens sizes between 46-47 for children/small faces. I always have to pick up glasses from the children's section. This is my 2nd time coming to LensCrafters in less than a month, after my current pair of glasses breaking; which are hanging on by a thread with clear tape. The Gentleman at this store that works in the on-site lab, I believe his name started with a D was very pleasant and told me the edges of the lenses which I could
Also see were not rolled or polished at the edges. I ended up doing a refund because I can't seem to find the right dimensions of my current frame which is a 46-15/16-125. At this point I don't think the frames are an issue, I sincerely believe I'm paying for the 1.74 high-index lenses and am not receiving them. I need new glasses. I do not care about the cost! I'm receiving 0 help with this grievance, as there is no one at most LensCrafters locations that are
Able to help customers with myopia (nearsightedness) and I feel discriminated against every time I walk into a store. My frames came from LensCrafters and there seems to be no one in the offsite labs anymore that can cut high index lenses. I'm getting nowhere with this issue and strongly considering getting contacts which my insurance will not cover. I'm very sadden by this as a petite woman as well with a smaller face not finding appropriate frames that are stylish for my face. I even filled out the contact form 5 business days or more ago, and no one has reached out to me yet from LensCrafters. What are people with nearsightedness suppose to do or go?! I have spent countless hours of my own time trying to find frames that fit the dimensions that I'm looking for online, which are taking forever to ship from overseas. I need new glasses before the end of the year. This level of service is not acceptable from LensCrafters. I already gave a horrible review for the 510 6th avenue location, which gave me pregnant glasses with lenses producing from the front and back of the frames, which should be illegal as any good ophthalmologist will tell you. I've even experienced this in my youth were my prescription went up because of the lenses poking out so much from the frame. I can't be the only person in NYC with myopia I know the lenses can be scaled down further. Someone needs to call in the optical authorities and review the work that's being conducted in the outside lab for LensCrafters. I'm getting exhausted for looking for frames on my own that can accommodate my prescription. It's discrimination to produce lack-luster lenses for those with high myopia, and no longer selling smaller frames for smaller faces. I will be taking this complaint further, after being a long-time customer. Those with high myopia need glasses without a doubt this is truly an insensitive disservice! I'm completely disgusted and turned off! Update:. I never felt insecure with a pair of glasses I've received from LensCrafters.. Pre-pandemic days LensCrafters has knowledgeable opticians that knew how to assist customers like me with high prescriptions. My most recent purchase of lenses I made on 12/28/25 the lenses were poorly constructed as if the lenses were jammed inside the frame when I picked them up on 1/11/26 and there's dents/chipping on the left lens and warping on the bottom edge of the frame that I purchased separately outside of LensCrafters. . This is not the level of customer service and craftsmenship I've been use to for several years. This review is not store-specific as I've been to 2 stores now and faced with the same issue/problem this is a regional issue that needs to be addressed with the LensCrafters brand and corporate office. I'm tired of the foolishness and no seems articulate enough to assist.
I had A Wonderful Experience at LensCrafters
I recently visited LensCrafters, and I have to give a huge thank-you to Sabrina, Carline, and Dana. Each of them made my experience exceptional in their own way.
Sabrina was warm, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the process.
Carline brought such a positive energy. She was attentive, professional, and genuinely cared about helping me find the perfect frames. Her guidance made the decision easy and enjoyable.
Dana was just as outstanding--detail-oriented, kind, and truly dedicated to making sure everything came out perfectly. Her care and precision really stood out.
Together, they turned what could have been a routine visit into something memorable. Their teamwork, kindness, and professionalism deserve recognition. I'm grateful for the excellent service and will definitely be returning because of them.
I stopped into LensCrafters honestly expecting a quick in-and-out visit, and instead had one of the best retail experiences I've had in a long time. Orvana and Carlene went way out of their way to help me, and it really showed.
They were patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive without ever being pushy. I had a lot of questions and some indecision, and they took the time to walk me through options, explain things clearly, and make sure I was comfortable with my choice. It never felt rushed, and it never felt like a sales pitch--just two people who actually care about doing their job well.
What stood out most was how thoughtful and calm the whole experience was. Buying glasses can be surprisingly stressful, and they made it easy. You don't always get that kind of personal attention anymore, so it really meant something.
If you're going to LensCrafters, I highly recommend asking for Orvana or Carlene. They turned what could've been a routine errand into a genuinely positive experience.
The only place I'll handle my glasses! I received exemplary service from Alejandro. He was so professional yet personable and made what could have been a headache of a process a total breeze! Thanks LensCrafters for having such high standards with your customers!
Eduardo was invaluable throughout the entire interaction. He clearly and thoroughly provided all the information requested, with a welcoming, friendly attitude that immediately made me feel comfortable. His professionalism and willingness to assist made the experience both pleasant and reassuring. Thanks to him I was able to purchase my first pair of frames.
