I visited this place several times over the past three years and unfortunately had a negative experience. I have DC37 insurance and discovered that they charged my insurance for the full service, including glasses and lenses, while also charging me $150 in cash for my lenses on the side. After a year and a half, my lenses began to peel and developed spots. When I returned, they claimed it was just wear and tear, which was surprising since I've worn glasses since the first grade and have never encountered this issue. Additionally, they charged me $400 for my 10-year-old daughter's glasses--$250 for frames that weren't covered because the available options were too large, and $150 for her lenses. When one of the handles on her frames cracked, they insisted that I needed to purchase an entirely new pair. Recently, my family and I had our appointments at Optic Design on Rockaway Parkway in Canarsie. Using the same insurance, I found that I was fully covered for both my daughter's and my glasses, with no extra charges, and our glasses were ready in just two days. I will not be returning to Eye & Dental Care. While the staff initially seemed genuine and trustworthy, this experience has led me to choose Optic Design instead, where the optometrist and staff were welcoming and efficient, without any hidden charges.

On my last visit to my Optician NY on Saturday, I was very happy to see that I could get a complete eye exam without an appointment if I was willing to wait little while, which I was. The optometrist uses state of the art vision care equipment and made me realize how bad I needed my reading eyeglasses upgraded. The nice salesperson helped me find brand name eyeglasses that were perfect for my lifestyle and me. I would definitely recommend this optical store to anyone who needs an eye exam or wants a huge selection of designer sunglasses and eyeglasses to choose from.

Short term is okay. But for long term dental needs I'd advise all to find dentist that are friendlier and willing to speak English around you at least during your active procedures. Especially when you can tell they are talking about YOU!

Dr. Shilmov did my cataract surgery two years ago and my vision is excellent. I have been back several times for follow ups and always enjoy the visit. I highly recommend my optician for all eye related issues..

I saw Marat Shlimov and couldn't be more impressed with him or the practice. The wait was non-existent, I was treated kindly, and evaluated honestly. The optometrist was thorough and spent time to understand my need for a visit. I wholeheartedly recommend him and this practice to anyone in need of a great eye doctor.

It was a wonderful experience. You can definitely rely on their advice if you are not sure what frames to get. I had no problems with the glasses. The team is very knowledgeable and qualified. Recommended to anyone in Brooklyn looking for brand name eye glasses!

Was honestly a bit nervous about the process of treating my astigmatism, as I had decided to go with a lasik procedure. The Dr. Shlimov was very personable and friendly, and all my worries quickly dissipated. My eyesight has never been better. Very grateful for their work and glad for their presence in the Brooklyn community.

Had a galucoma screening at My Optician and it was negative. I have been seeing the Brooklyn NY eye doctor regularly for years and my eyes have always remained healthy. Vision is very important to take care of. My optician makes sure my eyes are always as good as they can be.
