I got my progressive darkening lenses from Urban Optical and I couldn't be happier. The service was incredible as the man up front helped me choose the right frames for my face. And 6 mo's later I needed them to be adjusted because they had gone wonky due to my own negligence and he was able to fix them right up perfectly free of charge! I'm glad to have found such a reputable and kind place to get my glasses near home!

I walked into this place on my lunch break with my Tom Ford glasses that I had accidentally stepped on. The right arm broke past the elbow close to the frame. It was bad so I was hoping they can look at them and give me some options. After they allowed me to linger for 15min glancing at me occasionally. Hopping I would give up and leave the owner or manager emerges from the back berating one of the employees as kindly and professionally as you can berate someone without causing a stir telling the kid there are people in the front who need help. So I go to the kid and ask do you fix glasses with a smart Alec replie he says" if they can be fixed " so I show it to him and he glances at it for half a second and says "those can't be fixed" and then stared directly through me like the glasses I was trying to fix. Iam 100% convinced it was because I was in a work uniform and they thought I didn't have money. Even though I do and my glasses cost more than everything he had on his person cloths ,shoes ,wallet etc. I looked at the man who had berated him to see if he was gonna step in but he just stared with an empty look like a drunk lost on the subway. No options no care no respect. They deserve this low rating. Don't listen to the good reviews they're lies. This is the truth. Ps I went to another place and they showed respect sympathy and researched and referred me to a someone who could fix it.

Absolutely fantastic place to go for glasses and amazing customer service. My first visit was with a prescription my usual place couldn't fill. The gentleman that helped along with the person behind the desk were so lovely. Ready to answer any questions I had. I ended up buying some new frames and getting my prescription filled. Soon enough I had a text inviting me to come pick them up. This time Breanna sat with me to fit them properly and we chatted it up for a bit too The personal attention from the staff is always amazing. I will be getting all of my new glasses here moving forward!

This establishment is very deceitful! The dr is not personal, gave me a prescription that I did not need just because he wanted to sell progressive scripts which are more money than reading glasses. When I became dizzy the first week of wearing them and went back to correct this matter after paying $419 I was told that I could not get the difference back. That they would credit me, however he is currently trying to give me two pair of glasses with the same script as opposed to giving me one corrected script and crediting me two reading glasses, that would equal the $419 that I paid for bifocals. Upon entering this store the first time I was told that I had to buy eyewear from them. When I researched it is not true there is no obligation to buy from where you get your eye exam. Furthermore, they are obligated to give you the script if you want to go somewhere else. Very very deceitful!! Chris is not welcoming at all and the doctor is not personable at all. Told me that I needed bifocals because I get headaches, which I do not. Just a strategy to be able to sell me more expensive eyewear. I at the moment did not realize what was happening. I completely trusted this establishment much to my disappointment!! They have been reported to my UFT and the BBB! Horrible

Great establishment, helpful with pricing and explained everything to me so I understood. Chris helped me every time I've been in and was incredibly kind and helpful!

I was in serious need of new prescription glasses. I stopped here right after grocery shopping and I'm so glad that I did. Frank was extremely helpful - from determining my coverage benefits and selecting frames and lenses. My goal was to find 2 new frames and that's exactly what I did - I'm very happy with my choices. Thank you Frank! He made the frame selection seamless so I didn't feel overwhelmed at all!

Urban Optical is one of those places that looks like a mom n pop shop but it isn't. Frankly it's a perfect example of zero level customer service that should be a case study. They have staff who don't really want to be there. Maybe in a fast food joint that can work, but where you need special care for eye glasses this is certainly the last place you want to be.

I went to this shop for the first time to replace poor progressive lenses, for an eye exam and new contacts. Adam gave me an eye exam, a new progressive prescription and new contacts. Brianna listened patiently to the problem I had with my previous progressive lenses and placed the order. I now have perfect progressive lenses which enable me to drive, work for hours on the computer and read well. The contacts are good as well. This is a great place with a great doctor and staff!
