It's ok. Local. Nice books to read in waiting room.
I didn't make an appointment, but they saw me anyways (after waiting), so that's a plus. It should be noted though that they saw me instead of another person who did have an appointment at that exact same time, and that guy had to Wait more.
Anyways the doctor asked if I had another prescription, and I Said it was a few years old and would rather get a new one
He started the eye exam, but well way in I told him I still see double.
He then told me to get my old prescription from my phone. I started but I had to log into another website which takes a while, and he told me to go out into the waiting room while he sees someone Else, telling me to get it in the meantime while the other doctor, who takes the eye pictures, sees me.
Then I get it and get the pictures taken, and show the old prescription (which I said before wasn't relevant or good anymore) to them, and they just took it, but didn't continue the eye exam like he said he would
Now I have glasses, and a new prescription, that are still blurry because of that.
I should have gone elsewhere. I would not recommend it.
Best glasses experience of my life. I wanted new lenses same frames. First of all he was open about the risk of changing my lenses breaking the frames. Then, he searched the internet and found my exact frames, which are several years old and nearly not available anymore, and ordered them for me. And he did everything perfect and timely. No one has taken the time to help like that before! When has someone ever found your same frames for you instead of making you choose a new one? He is great i recommend him 100 percent!
That other negative review is pretty bad 'loshon hara-slander'... My wife and I have used this place for 6 years, and many in the community go here. I know the optician and he's a good guy. Maybe the hours are a bit inconvenient, but so are all the hours in Crown Heights, which I hope changes for better soon. If your rude to them, they'll be rude back; thats nature. But overall very professional, and good prices. They know their stuff.
This is the best Eye-wear store in NYC, hands down. Fishel, the owner, is seriously a pro! he knows how to fit glasses on a person so professionally, the last time i went there i handed in my glasses and my daughter's glasses and without saying a word he was able to tell exactly why i was there, and he addressed the issue quickly, efficiently and effectively.. Fishel thanks for being there for my family and me for so many years, you rock! be blessed with only success. To people that read this review: if you wear glasses, you know how important it is for it to fit right and sit right and the lenses to be just right, you need a person who actually cares about his customers and has the skills to deliver. you cant go wrong with this place, i assure you.
Extremely professional. Extremely pleasant. Excellent prices and excellent work. Will go out of their way to fit in with your budget. Excellent after sales service too
Very bad service. I went to get my contact lens prescription filled and his doctor got my prescription number wrong two times in a row; and every time I came back because my eyes were hurting me he was rude and made nasty comments. Will definitely not go back.
Do yourself a favor a go literally anywhere else, terrible service.
Big selection of latest styles brand names at low prices and personal attention to everyone
