Eyecare Professionals of Western NY, now part of MyEyeDr.

I cannot say enough good things about my first time experience. I have been wearing glasses and contacts for 22 years (maybe more, I was 8 or 10 lol), been to a few local offices due to insurance changes as well as lived out of state for 6 years. I have my fair share of annual exams and eye doctor offices. I have to say this is the most thorough exam I've ever had. The tech was extremely kind and did such a great job with my initial exam, history review and professionalism. The doctor was also so kind and thorough. She noticed conditions I was diagnosed with, but didn't mention because I didn't know the name and the other eye doctors I saw previously never brought them up, so I forgot about it for the last 10 years. She gave me a couple trial samples for my contacts, despite wearing the same brand for 15+ years. They accepted my insurance with lenses, while other offices had no frames available or wouldn't let me use my glasses or contact coverages. They had so many options for my insurance as well as knew how many boxes I could order for contacts. My son also wears glasses and I will be moving him to this office for his next visit for sure. The gentleman that helped me with my glasses and contacts verified all my glasses coverages, contact coverages and was very up front about any additional charges or upgrades I could have. He was also very personable. I left about an hour after my appointment, but it was a first time and the most thorough exam I've ever had. Everyone was wonderful. I'm hoping this is a long term visit because it was a fantastic experience

to be clear 1 star has nothing to do with Dr Gambacorta. she is and has always been awesome. this has to do with new ownership. Since switching over to this eyedr nonsense. THEY are terrible. Whom ever tried telling me glasses wasn't even using my vision insurance. quoted outrageous prices where I've never come close to paying that before. I'd think that you would check into vision insurance before medical insurance for prescription glasses or at least know to. Not to mention the prices have gone way up for the same. for the same glasses with the same insurance I walked out the door paying $80 last time. they tried to tell me the same glasses would be about 140 after insurance.......I've been fed to much bs and know the insurance to well for that. no thanks From thomas turtle, to Buffalo Best, To when it was Wny eyecare professionals I have always gotten a dilated eye exam with my exam since I'm diabetic. All of a sudden it is not allowed to dialate on the same day as my vision exam. so now I need a another appointment for an eye dialation. Not to mention a 1020 I waited about an hr before seeing the dr.who has time for this nonsense. I received about 400 messages to schedule my yearly so I did. my yearly has always included dialation so why not mention this before I come in

I recently had an appointment and had a great experience. The staff was friendly, I was greeted at the door by the Manager who helped me pick out frames while I waited to be seen by the doctor, which saved me a great deal of time. The assistants at the front desk helped me understand how much I had in insurance benefits. I plan on bringing my daughter in for new glasses also.

John and Melissa were excellent. They went above and beyond to help me pick out new glasses. John stayed late on a Saturday as I selected frames. I highly recommend them for Eyecare.

I won't be going back. I was not informed that Eye Care Professionals was bought and now it's MyeyeDr. I loved Dr. Kalinowski and she is no longer part of this practice. I don't have 2+ hours to spend at a partial appointment and the doctor did not seem like he could handle the patient load or the technology, he was very flustered. I wouldn't say anyone there was friendly either with the exception of the optician who tightened my glasses after my 2+ hour appt.

Dr. Michele Gambacorta is attentive and very personable to work with. She is a knowledgeable and thorough professional and I trust her to take care of my vision needs. John helped me pick out the best glasses for my insurance and vision needs. I'm am a very happy and thankful return customer.

Their offices are always quick and efficient with a super friendly staff - my whole family goes here. Their selection of eye glasses was great and I was able to find a pair that fit me perfectly, which were ready for pickup in only a week! Try ECP, you won't be disappointed.

Eye Care Professionals was bought out by myeyedoctor. They did not even inform patients this was happening! They no longer accept my insurance and I wasn't even told until I received a bill from them some months later! They're shady! I am finding a new eye doctor! Don't waste your time here. They are no longer locally owned.
