Davis Visionworks

Visionworks in East Northport is one of the nicest Visionworks I've been to. The front staff and the doctor answered all my questions. Dr. Hildy Hirsch was especially helpful since she works with prisms which I understand not all doctors do. Her Rx was spot on., she took time to listen and evaluate my issues with double vision. Gary the optician very low key and friendly and knowledgeable.. I would recommend this particular Visionworks.

Everyone is super friendly and helpful! When I first started wearing contacts they were very patient and made sure before I left that I was comfortable in putting contacts in and taking them out.I was more frustrated than they were. Since then, appointments are quick and thorough. Great staff!

I wrote a review along with the survey. I have been getting my glasses for many years at Davis Vision Works. This visit the doctor was eager to give me info on what she was doing and explain the results. I picked out my frames with a knowledgeable person who helped me pick out the two frames I wanted. The people at the store were also very kind and eager to please when I brought the sun glasses back to have the gray shaded lens removed and the brown shaded lens put in. I was not happy with the way the landscape looked with gray lens. I initially chose gray thinking I would like the change. I didn't and they graciously honored the warranty and my lenses are being switched as I write.

I had a very upsetting experience at Northport Davis Vision. The front desk staff were extremely rude and unprofessional. After waiting for some time, I noticed one of the receptionists looking at me, so I politely spoke to her. She abruptly yelled, "I'm helping another person," which could have been communicated in a much more respectful way. As I walked around the store afterward, I felt like both women were watching and following me with their eyes, which made me very uncomfortable. Later, they told my husband that I was 15 minutes late and that they could only see him -- even though they were already running behind schedule. The entire interaction felt disrespectful and discriminatory. No patient should feel singled out or treated this way. Because of this experience, I will not be returning and will be sharing my experience with colleagues, friends, and family.

I have had bad retail experiences before, but never I have had bad retail experiences before, but never one that cost me $300. That sum was what my insurance was willing to pay for lenses and frames. I thought it would be sufficient from looking at discount prices. I didn't know how high retail prices were. According to the man I was dealing with, for $300 I could afford no combination of their cheapest frames and lenses that would correct my vision for distance, reading, and in-between as my prescription called for. He proposed that at least he would order glasses for distance only so "the $300 will not be wasted." I am 74 and my brain is not as sharp as it used to be. Not until I had left did I realize that he had used the whole $300 and I had no way to read or view my computer monitors. I needed the latter for a remote job. I thought I could cancel the deal under one of my state's "cooling off" laws. Surprised to learn that this sale was not covered. I'll file a complaint with the BBB. What else can I do? (The ophthalmologist who conducted my eye exam was excellent and I have no complaint against her.)

I've been going by to vision works for over 25 years and have always had a thorough eye exam with lots of expert help in finding just the right glasses for me They always know all the details concerning my Insurance coverage. Very confident knowing that they are experts in getting you a comprehensive eye exam, just the right lens and frames, selection is awesome. Sherri is an expert technician and has always been very patient with helping me to select just the right frames with a perfect fit so important Couldn't be happier !!

What a quick professional, smooth and great operation they have there. The young lady who does the preliminary test was excellent, the optometrist was fantastic and kind, and lastly the young man who assisted me with picking out the frames was also excellent and professional.

Had a great experience in my first ever visit to Visionworks. From start to finish it was easy, informative, and I got exactly what I needed at a great price. The entire team did a great job!
