Floral Park Ophthalmology

In January 2024, I saw Dr. Jindra. My optometrist recommended that I see him as he suspected narrow angles. Dr. Jindra attempted and succeeded in scaring me into trying to get laser for my condition. He told me to cancel my vacation (which was the following day). He then used his scare tactic by explaining how people are afraid of Cancer...but I should be afraid of going blind. At the end of the visit, I sincerely thought I would heart attack. It took hours of time for me to get over his bullying approach to procedure. He said to me "it looks like you are thinking" to which I replied " I am not thinking...you just scared me half to death"..and then I walked out. The office is like going back in time and the staff seemed frightened of him as well. I see his credentials are very impressive...but meaningless to me after probably the worst doctor visit I have experienced. Nothing of this practice was good . I thank him for his service as a Marine.............but he spoke to me as a Marine and not as a caring doctor. The office is so Marine decorated, it looked like a place to sign up ...not a doctors office. This office is extremely outdated, as is the equipment and set up of the office. It took me a while to write this review ...but i knew at some point I would...I sincerely write this review as it was. Caution: Think again if someone else tells you differently. The worst experience for me. Side note: someone else had written a bad review and I found it odd that right after the bad review, one of his patients that saw him 10 years ago...decided to write how great her experience was. I suppose someone thought that might off set his recent bad review. I have had 4 other opinions and none of them came even close to Dr. Jindras. Yes, I have narrow angles, but my situation is not as critical as Dr. Jindra declared. BEWARE

The staff was friendly and wore masks They were on time with my appointment. The doctor and staff were easy to talk to as he explained what was going to be tested. The doctor gave some help hints to help protect my eyes better. Very glad I went. Thank you Ed

He did a great job on my eye. I think the doctor is awesome and very knowledgeable, and his staff is great too.

My family has had only good experiences here. Dr. Jindra and his staff truly care and take time with patients to address any and all concerns.

The ophthalmologist is good for Amanda.
