Malik Eye Care

I have been going to the Malik Office on Metropolitan for routine eye care for the past few years. While the wait can be long, it's only because they take their time with every patient and that's something I appreciate. When Dr. Shapiro retired a little while back, I wasn't sure what to expect from my new doctor. Dr. Genson has been GREAT! He understands I have an autoimmune condition and monitors my eyes really closely for any changes. Chris, who does a lot of the eye tests, is also kind and supportive. I can say the same thing about everyone I've interacted with at the office. I'm grateful to know that my eyes are in such caring and capable hands.

Everyone here is really professional and friendly. The office is nice and clean too! They were able to see me last minute which I am very grateful for. The doctor was informative and thorough during my eye exam. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a professional eye doctor.

. I am writing to provide feedback regarding my recent visit to your facility. Firstly, I want to commend the cleanliness of the place and the professionalism of the staff. Everyone I encountered was polite, respectful, and conducted themselves in an exemplary manner. The staff administering the eye test were efficient and professional, and once I was seen by the doctor, the attention and care provided were commendable. The doctor demonstrated extensive knowledge and courtesy throughout the consultation, which I greatly appreciated. However, I must express my concern regarding the excessive wait times I experienced. Upon arrival, I waited approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes before being called in for the eye test. Following the test, I was sent back to the waiting room and waited an additional 1 hour and 40 minutes to see the doctor. Such lengthy wait times are frustrating and detract from an otherwise positive experience. I chose your facility primarily because of its proximity to my home, but the delays were difficult to tolerate. In summary, while the staff and doctor provided excellent care in a clean environment, I believe that the wait times require significant improvement to enhance overall patient satisfaction. Extremely frustrating experience. I waited 50 minutes past my appointment time, and for the last 30 minutes I was told I was "next", yet the doctor was never actually ready to see me. No one could provide a realistic or reasonable estimate of how much longer it would take. After nearly an hour of waiting with no clear communication or respect for my time, I had no choice but to ask for a refund and leave. Appointments are supposed to mean something--this felt completely disorganized and unprofessional. I understand delays happen, but the lack of transparency and accountability made this experience unacceptable. I won't be returning.

NYC Employees please read Do not seek service at any Malik eye care location. You will wait for hours to be seen as the company incentivizes overbooking at all locations. No respect for patient time or care. I waited two hours to never be seen, I requested a refund. Never again will I waste my day off going to a Malik "eye care" center

Extremely friendly staff. Very Very professional. It was my first time here and I would definitely recommend this office to everyone. Dr. Genson is awesome. Everyone I delt with explained the entire process and put my mind at ease.

Staff was friendly and efficient. Doctor was very patient with my questions. He was informative and professional. Great experience.
