CLOSED - Finger Lakes Community Eye Care

At my last appointment, the staff were very friendly and easy to talk to. I also got assistance from the staff during the exam. When picking out glasses, the nice lady at the desk helps pick them out and even gives recommendations. When I rode home as a passenger, I wore sunglasses into stores, outside, my other appointment that day, and into my home without much issue. Looking forward to picking up my glasses soon.

Only happened upon reviewing this establishment as I was sent a letter for their new location for appointments. Now here, I feel compelled to speak of my experience: Two stars were because of how kind and welcoming their receptionist staff were. The wait wasn't long, and the building was easy to find. The most important factor is to feel like I'm valued, heard, and genuinely cared for by my eye doctor. Suffice to say, I was not. I felt like a commodity, seemingly rushed out as soon as my exam was done. The doctor I had was stand-offish, terse, and - quite frankly- arrogant. I remember asking a question and ended up feeling stupid for even asking it. My eyes were dilated and he didn't even advise to wait until able to drive or see if i had a person to drive me. Thank goodness I had my own sunglasses! This visit, even with it being a year ago, still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.

You know what they say, if you don't like raw aggression don't go to Fingerlakes Community Eye Care... I needed a new script for the DMV & man did I pick the wrong place. The guy who checked me into the first exam room was short and interrupted me multiple times while I was trying to answer his questions. Doctor acts annoyed to be at work and talks a mile a minute in terms that no regular person could possibly understand as he blazed through my exam. Was told that as long as I had sunglasses in my car I would be fine to drive home, didn't make it a mile down the road before I pulled into Wegmans because I couldn't see. Called the office to ask what to do and was told that it effects everyone differently and that I just need to wait at Wegmans until I can see (anywhere between 30 minutes and few hours...). Never again.
