i had read so many bad reviews, an out of order spending machine doesn't make justice to give one star, base your review on service, empathy, quality, how quick they response, in my case as cancer pt. going on radiation I had the most scary episode of my life during a weekend retreat at catskills, they were diligently efficient, all the labs and tests that i need were done there with no problems, fast and easy, pain control was a must and kept me in observation for a few hours, communication with my oncologist right away to see which is the best treatment for me. this is an excellent place and all the staff absolutely all the staff is amazing
I had to have an urgent surgery and my surgeon sent me here. I generally dislike hospitals. However, the staff here was GREAT. They were competent, responsive and happy. I was in hospital for 2 days, and every staff member I interfaced with gets a 10, and this includes everyone, the nursing staff, the maintenance staff, and the food staff.
I was well looked after and the staff really made my stay as comfortable as possible. There are enough nurses so they are not overworked and have time to do even the small things that made my stay enjoyable. Yes enjoyable.
I have to disagree with earlier posts.
I visited the ER three times in 8 days and each time I found the hospital staff to be very caring, professional and the hospital was very clean. The doctors of the ER were wonderful. They explained each step of the process clearly. Our questions were addressed without hesitation. The staff of nurses and techs were readily available to help us in any way they could. I got the impression that they were happy to be there and liked their jobs.
Other posts had negative reviews but I found the experience to be very good considering that being in the ER is not exactly where you want to spend the day. The staff took excellent care of us so I have no complaints only compliments.
The staff is outstanding! I brought my mom into the ER on a Friday night. The security officer was super nice... helped transfer her to a wheelchair, went out of his way to make us both comfortable, stating "you're our guest here". Inside everyone treated her with the utmost respect and compassion. Absolutely no complaints! I wish I could remember the security guards name - he deserves a gold star!! Thank you to all!
There are pros and cons to small hospitals, and overall my experience had a lot more good than bad. It gets overlooked how nice it is that parking is free and you can pretty much always find a space that's less than 50 feet from the entrance. The staff were personable and accommodating throughout my entire time here. I have absolutely no complaints except I was called in for my procedure early and then proceeded to wait four hours. Inconvenient, sure, but stuff like this can be unpredictable. I would have given five stars but we weren't given any status updates during our wait. Overall, it's a great place.
Pros:
Parking, cleanliness, staff, doctors
Cons: long wait times, packed schedules
I had heel spur surgery here yesterday and I could not have been happier with the ENTIRE staff and their treatment of me. From the receptionist in the lobby, to the nurses station nurses, to the RN Donna (who quickly became my buddy), to the Anesthesiologist, to the very caring and calming surgical technicians, to my surgeon Dr. Dunham....each and every person was very kind, efficient, and knowledgeable. The hospital was very clean as well. I was a nervous wreck and they really made me calm and did a fantastic job! I would recommend this hospital to anyone and everyone!!!!
I has a total knee replacement and the staff in the OR and recovery areas were superb. When I was brought upstairs, the nursing staff was attentive and on the mark. My only regrets is a lack of recognition of spinal block anesthesia consequences and breakfast.
Shout outs to Larry, Pam and Aubrey in OR and to Jane, Tara, Ostiella and Helen.
And to Dr. Amos who did figure out the spinal block problems and guided me through them successfully
.
Had a severe car accident which FLIPPED my car.. I'm lucky to be alive. Asked for pain meds and it took 3 hours to get Tylenol. Some staff is AMAZING like in imaging but the er nurses are rude. Am signing myself out and going to another hospital even though I have a head wound, shoulder wound and spine injury. Anyplace would be better then this place. A disgrace to the medical field and their dedicated staff
