I had a great experience at Focus Eye Care and Surgery in Jamaica/Hillside. The office was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly, respectful, and helpful from the moment I walked in.

The comprehensive eye exam was very through and professional. The two doctors who saw laid out my care plan in a clear manner as to what my next steps are and my plan of treatment. The doctor's took the time out of their busy schedules to carefully and slowly examine my eyes. They prescribed eyedrops that have thus far been working great. Although I was there for over two hours I was satisfied that my eyes were scanned and looked at from every possible angle to insure that my eyes were completely healthy. I would highly recommend this practice and all the doctors/staff there.

I had an exam which went well. My insurance had $200 towards my glasses. I bought a pair of beautiful Gucci glasses with progressive tint, something for glare and something else for $755. The insurance $200 didn't even go towards the $755. I didn't want to spend that much on glasses but I decided to do something nice for myself so I bought the expensive beautiful glasses. I couldn't wait to get them. I picked them up the evening before going out of town. The next day I put them on I could barely see out of them. The glasses looked great on me but looking at something on my right or left was blurry and I could see better without the glasses on. I don't even wear the glasses anymore because I'm afraid they will make my vision worse. The saleswoman was the best I've ever encountered. She sold me a pair of expensive glasses with accessories and they wear like a toy. I see worse with the glasses on then without them. I'm out of $755 and still need glasses. Beware my peeps who ever they send their glasses out to fill the prescription are scammers. Don't go to this place unless you are rich and can afford to lose your money and still have to get more glasses.

Scheduled an appointment for a routine eye exam. I came early to start the process but everything was so seamless it took less than a minute. I waited a few minutes before being called to the back to begin pre examination. The ladies were great and communicated each step/test. I was escorted to the final room to meet with Dr. Whitaker, sat for about a minute before she arrived and was really pleased. She is kind, warm, and very knowledgeable (she explained everything simply). I will definitely recommend this office.
Atmosphere/ambiance - great! Well lit, clean, smells fresh.
