NY Laser Group: DBA NY Vision Group

This office is an absolute nightmare. After weeks of planning for an appointment, we showed up only to be told the doctor was on vacation. No phone call, no email, no text--no communication at all. Instead of apologizing, staff insisted they had "called," which was clearly untrue. Other patients in the waiting room were dealing with the exact same issue, so this is obviously a pattern. To make matters worse, they charge a $75 "cancellation fee" when they're the ones canceling last minute. That's unethical and borders on insurance fraud. I will never come back here and will be reporting this to both the insurance company and the medical board. If you value your time, money, and health, avoid this place at all costs.

Absolutely no respect for patients time you are at their mercy waiting for 2 hours to see the doctor had a 3.15 pm appointment it's now 4.00pm and there are still 2 patients ahead of me this is unacceptable don't waste your time they don't deserve our patronage

Great eye doctor... (((but not worth the wait))) The staff is terrible!! especially with teenagers... During a pre-exam test with shapes, my teen truly couldn't see anything but the staff aggressively insisted she had to see something & kept demanding answers, making her feel stressed & uncomfortable... I've been there two different times, both visits lasted a minimum of three hours, & when I took my teens, that was it! I wanted to lose my mind... This place truly don't care about their patients time and they overbook constantly! My teens have nightmares about ever going back to this place... Will not be coming back!!

Do not ever go here! They can't seem to get your contact information correctly when you have scheduled surgeries, but can call for payments. I have never had a bad experience prior to coming to NY Vision Group. They fail to contact patients for pickup for both days of surgery, claiming that they have the wrong number. The first surgery, we spent 3 hours trying to correct the information, even gave them a secondary number yet they did the same thing 2 weeks later. When you have to go back the next day for your check up, they have you sit and wait for almost half a day. They don't check their charts and call you for "emergency appointments" just to waste your time and insurance money yet again. Not to mention, ALWAYS pay your co-pays via credit card because they send you an invoice weeks later for amounts you already paid!

A bit to precocious so I walk in and pull a chair next to my wife and I was told I couldn't sit there because I was to close to my wife WTF... A little to serious I can see that in 2020,2021 but we're in 2022 I guess the staff felt superior as they had nothing to do...JUST RIDICULOUS..

The only reason this office has that many patients is because the people in the area have nowhere else to go. The front desk staff is rude and impatient, and i saw Dr Angelova and she spent less than 3 mins with me no bedside manner barely allowed me to speak just rushed in and out, such a waste of time! The only good part of the visit were the individuals doing the various eye exams.

Dr. Cynthia Hsu has the most pleasant and soothing demeanor. She makes her patients feel at ease and genuinely cares and listens to all patient concerns. She has the unique ability to foresee and catch small problems, before they become a major issue. She is a major asset to your team and I feel blessed to have her as my physician!

Usually the waiting room is full, not even a seat. Looks like they schedule everyone the same day
