I only gave 1 star because there is NO option for ZERO stars. My sister went to get her son's first pair of glasses. He picked them up and wore them for 6 months, he went to his 6 month update with his pediatric ophthalmologist & she told us the glasses were made wrong. The prescription in the lenses were over corrected by 3 steps and he has had this on for 6 MONTHS! He has an eye turn and they had the audacity to put the wrong RX! They must have messed up 3 times, the person who ordered the job, the person who cut the job and the person who inspects the job before dispensing. I called to complain and no manager available and no apology,, didn't even send me the itemized receipt like I requested. ALSO they lied saying they took his affinity insurance, we went to another store who was IN NETWORK and he was entitled to a free pair from a specific kit. We were not offered that, paid over $200 for these glasses, didn't even have any anti glare. Terrible. You will be seeing me soon so you can fix this grave mistake.

Do yourself a favor and go to American vision which is right next-door. Sterling's prices are higher and they really don't throw in very much. I spent almost $300 on a pair of glasses for my daughter before I realized I could've gone right next-door to American vision and got Two beautiful pairs of glasses for the same amount of money. I actually think American visions frames are better anyway. Go check it out for yourself and thank me later.. you'll be glad you did!

Yesterday - within a 4 hour time frame.. I got my eyes examined (thoroughly by Dr. Fuchs - VERY kind man), Jalene broke numbers down with me and made sure i was fitted well for my glasses, and Arsen picked out the perfect frame for me on the first try! They are a great team! I will absolutely be back and will bring my husband to get his next pair too. Best part, to be honest, I didn't feel rushed (during the exam, or while shopping for my frames). Dr. Fuchs let explain my issues, observations and gave me great feedback. Jalene (I hope I'm spelling her name right) explained the difference between all the options they have (coating, crizal, etc.) patiently and in detail.

I had an amazing experience at Sterling Optical in Lynbrook! I brought in my sunglasses, and they were fixed in minutes. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They really went above and beyond to make sure my sunglasses were as good as new. Highly recommend this location for anyone needing repairs or looking for fantastic customer service!

Refused to email me a copy of my prescription poor service other locations were always happy to email. Lost my business for sure.

Jeanne made my son's first eyeglass shopping experience wonderful! I cannot say enough good things about her. She was so kind, treated my son with care, and was very enthusiastic. Couldn't have dreamed up a better person to help ease my son into wearing glasses. Thank you!

I brought a prescription for progressives from an eye Dr. to Sterling. They made the glasses Perfectly and the helped me with the insurance. The service was great. This was my first time wearing glasses and figured I needed to adjust to them. A couple of weeks later I went back because I really wasn't able to see with them. They reexamined me and found the doc that gave me the RX was way off. They remade the lenses at no cost to me just to get it right; and they did. They were perfect. Fast forward 2 months to today when I stepped on my new glasses and destroyed them. I went in very unhappy that this was going to cost a great deal. Jean made me feel better with a few jokes and for a much more reasonable price than I anticipated ordered my new glasses. It is rare to find customer service this good anymore. If you don't go here for your contacts and eyewear; you are wrong.

Arsen informed me about glasses for over an hour. I've been wearing glasses for over twenty years. He patiently explained things I wasn't aware of, like how it's supposed to fit on one's ears and nose, how wide frames should be relative to one's face, how high they should be considering one's eyebrows, and where exactly one should be viewing through the lens. He also let me methodically try on as many pairs as I wanted without any rush. Arsen gave actual thoughtful feedback about the fits and fashions of different frames. He took into consideration what I wanted, and also offered helpful suggestions. It was a memorable conversation and he didn't pressure me to buy anything. I also visited about ten other glasses sellers for just this pair.
