AUTISM MOM THIS IS A SAFE PLACE my son Kane, ASD, non verbal, HIGH sensory The anxiety I get every time we have to go to a appointment, especially if the doctor is a new doctor We saw our new eye doctor today and we all had a awesome experience me dad Kane and his big brother Abel... everyone was so nice and welcoming from the receptionist to the doctor himself the receptionist went above and beyond to come outside and help us find the building when we got lost. We're new to the area. The doctor had all sorts of different ways to get Kane to complete appointment without overwhelming him ! He was patient and understanding knowledgeable and kind just perfect. They have a separate playroom ! all documents needed were sent to me within the same day. The artwork in this office wow I can't wait to go back just to see what else they put up kept us and the children busy I love this place. Yay this place is a gem Thank you grateful Hugh L. Sauer MD

Dr Sauer and his team are the best around. My partner went in for a consultation for strabismus surgery and chose the Dr. as her surgeon for the procedure. They made it so easy for her and were so informative and professional each step of the way. The surgery was a complete success and she couldn't be happier. So thankful for the life changing work that this team does.

We just switched to Dr Sauer from another pediatric ophthalmologist and could not be happier! He is amazing with young children, on time, and very professional. His assistant is incredible too! They both showed my daughter so much respect and made sure she was comfortable there... and for that I am SO grateful. They're also on time, which is unheard of these days. The receptionist is just as wonderful. She's super helpful and answers questions and doesn't brush you off to quickly move on to the next patient. She gave my daughter a lollipop and talked to her and made her feel seen too. We are SO glad we made the switch to Dr Sauer!

I am so thankful for Dr. Sauer. I took my son to multiple doctors in the area prior to this office. One told me he needed glasses (at 6 months?), the other was rude when my 8 month old wouldn't 'cooperate'. Dr. Sauer was a breath of fresh air. He was kind, patient, and even knew how to capture the attention of a very busy toddler. We have had multiple visits, and with each one I felt he gave us his undivided attention. At our last visit he told us we no longer need to patch, and he doesn't need glasses. I cannot recommend this office enough! His nurse was so sweet and friendly, which goes a long way with a toddler who doesn't want to be there.

Called to make an appointment and was told that they "don't do eye exams" when their website clearly states: " Dr. Sauer offers complete medical and surgical eye care, from simple evaluations for eyeglasses to complex and delicate eye surgery." Then they gave me a number for another doctors that's an hour away.

MIracle worker !!! First time I've seen clearly - and with both eyes no less - IN 20 YEARS!. Sad no one told me that there was a procedure for strabismus until this year much less recommend a good surgeon to perform the corrective surgery. Dr Sauer is a gifted professional and extremely knowledgeable (unlike another I went to earlier this year) and one I highly recommend.

I wish I could leave no stars. My child needed to be seen by the doctor and the receptionists were absolutely terrible at returning calls. I called multiple times with promises that they would call me back, that they were "very busy" and would "call me back within a day". Nothing. Time after time they're "too busy" to return my calls. They definitely do not care about their patients.

Dr sauer is great with kids. I had to bring my 15 month old for a blocked tear duct and dr sauer and staff are great with kids. I'm glad we found him.
