Middletown Tri-State Eye

I couldn't believe, when arriving, the receptionist was on the phone with another patient, and I overheard her mention a Dr.'s name from Crystal Run and was curious as I thought he had retired long ago. I was a patient of this Dr. approx. 20 yrs. ago. When she opened the window, I asked her if she was indeed talking about this Dr. and she said "I was talking to another patient, not you." This lady was incredibly rude and I feel she is not fit to be working with the public. I am polite with everyone, especially in a Dr 's office. I didn't ask her name and it's not like me to write a bad review but there was no reason to treat a patient like she did. I went on to have my tests with 2 professional girls without a problem. I didn't push the issue while there but the more I thought about it, the more incensed I got. I would think her supervisor would have a talk with her to know what her problem was This was on Monday@1:15pm

I see many people giving bad reviews and most of it relates to the horrible office staff. I completely agree. I have taken both of my parents to this office and it's always overcrowded and wait times are unacceptably long. Today was a nightmare. I brought my 97 year old mother and they made us wait 2 1/2 hours! On top of that I stepped out into the hallway to take a call from a surgeon who was evaluating my father in the hospital. I was simply listening in as he explained my father's condition. An evil witch from the office came down the hall pointing in my face and threatened to call the police because I was on my cellphone. I tried to explain that I am caring for both parents simultaneously and just needed to listen to the call. She should have apologized to my mother for keeping her there for 2 1/2 hours but instead she threatened me. My mother was so upset. Needless to say I will be taking my mother to a new ophthalmologist.

This practice does not seem to be aware of Bimataprost implants, or other newer developments in glaucoma treatment . I am on endless eye drops, twice a day. The amount of meds make me nauseous and dizzy, esp one med in particular. The tech who called me said the drops could NOT be the cause, yet dizziness is one of major listed side effects. I also found trying to do a visual field test very difficult in the tiny space provided. I like the office staff, and the doctor who I see, but I need more and better options.update to 3 weeks later, on May 20- this office does not have an answering service! If you call after hour, you are instructed to go to an ER. Also,, their PA office does not accept MVP...yet Middjto we n has for years. Note- I am not a Medicare/Medicaid pt. I hope Dr P sees these reviews. He diagnosed me in the 90s, and did my cataract sx. I feel very much that this entire practice does not care...it's just about the money. ony use them.if you want to have confidence in your care.

I would give zero stars if I could. Most unprofessional front desk staff, billing department, and doctor I have EVER worked with. The Dr was actually nice but I saw her 4 different times and she couldn't diagnose me correctly. After lots of research I found out my diagnoses myself. Do not recommend. Update: after the reply from the office, I'm now even more concerned considering they replied they don't have a female doctor. Then I'm not sure what "doctor" they let me see 4 times but she was definitely a female and I know I don't have the wrong practice. 75 Crystal Run Rd in Middletown

Can't give zero stars...arrived 12/1/21 at 2:30 for 2:45 appointment, completed paperwork. Fully aware of how Drs. visits work at 2:49 I ask the receptionist "can you give me an idea of my wait time" AGAIN fully aware of how visits/appointments work sometimes there is a wait. The receptionists' responding tone was quite rude "well your appointment was five minutes ago the people you see..." I cut her off "just want to get an idea of how long is the wait" again her tone was RUDE and unacceptable "well I don't know the next person that comes out..." The other people she attempted to tell me about were not spoken to in the tone she used with me. I asked for my intake paperwork back, as well as the copy of my insurance card. Got the paperwork and was advised there is no copy of insurance card it gets scanned into system. Here's the thing I do not appreciate the tone or the response I received from this woman. She was VERY CONDESCENDING and downright RUDE in her tone and response. I called 20minutes later to speak with billing I want to confirm my information has been deleted, of course I get the same woman on the phone who says "yes it's been deleted we wouldn't keep it". I do not believe her, and I will definitely follow-up with my carrier to ENSURE there is NOT ONE SINGLE PENNY being charged from this practice. I will be calling again to speak with the office manager which will more than likely be a waste of time *shrugs shoulders*

i get appointments yearly, to check both of my eyes, the doctor is very nice, she checks everything needs to be check, last week i missed my appointment cause i totally forgot, i never got any call or a tex message reminding my appointment, so i called to reschedule the missed appointment, they gave 6 moths for a new appointment, i aked the lady on the phone why so long for a new appointment, she said because i missed an appointment, she wasn't nice at all, she said it was my fault to not get a reminding notice cause I never provided a phone number. Front desk the worse

So I see the negative reviews but it doesn't seem that those patients had cataract surgery like I did with Dr. Palydowycz. He came highly recommended by my optometrist specifically for cataract surgery. I could barely see before I had the surgery. I couldn't drive at night, I could barely use a computer or see my phone or do much of anything without a lot of effort. The day after I had my first eye done and they took the patch off, I was completely amazed. I'd never seen so crisply in my life. A couple weeks later, I had the other eye fixed, and it was absolutely the best thing I've ever done. You don't realize how bad your vision is until they fix it. Dr. Palydowycz is extremely concise and to the point and I personally liked that about him. I don't need sugarcoating, I just want the facts and what to expect and he is extremely clear and explains everything very well in a way you understand. Anyway, long story short... He did a great job, my vision is a million times better than it was and I didn't have any complications. I would recommend this office a billion times over. Top photo is a few minutes after the patch was removed the day after surgery. The bottom pic is the same eye approx 3 hours later. The redness and watery eye dissipated very quickly, and I healed extremely fast.

As someone with a lot of medical issues, finding the right doctor can be tricky and finding one with patience and knowledge of my diseases is quite the task. Lucky for me I found Dr. Herrera, who has been an absolute life saver. She takes her time, explains things and never makes you feel rushed or lets you leave with any unanswered questions or concerns. From the minute she took a look at my eyes she was EXCITED to treat me and help me find a solution. She is a doctor that you can truly see and feel her passion and love for her job and her patients. To top that off the staff is also great! Personable, funny and extremely helpful. 10/10 recommend
