New York & New Jersey Eye Institute

I made an appointment, showed up the day of (correct time & date) the place was dark and empty. So I kept calling/knocking. No one answered for at least an hour and a half until a young girl showed up and said they were moving & I asked where. She didn't even know. I wasn't informed about any of this and pretty upset because I took off of work to make this appointment. I really needed to see an eye doctor because my glasses aren't strong enough & I have to drive at night. I was very polite to her, she was polite to me. I made a new appointment, which was meant for 12 today (I made this appointment months ago) called again 3 times and no one answered. This place sucks don't go here don't bring your kids here don't bring your granny here. There are literal children working the front counter (this is not at all their fault) I see why this place has a one star review.

Terrible customer service . I never received my prescription from my las visit , I called several times and no answer was given . Made another appointment and they cancelled it the day before .They rescheduled my appointment for 2 months . Good luck trying to get someone on the phone now .

I've been trying all week to get in touch with someone. It's impossible and they don't return calls. I was thinking of having Lasik surgery through them. There is absolutely no way that is happening. I will be having my records transferred elsewhere.

I ordered contacts from this place. After getting my contacts I realized it was the wrong prescription. I called them and asked them what prescription they had for my eyes, and they read back the correct prescription! So obviously someone screwed up while ordering my contacts, and I understand that mistakes happen, but the reason for my 1 star review is how horrible their customer service is! I was given attitude, there was no apology, and I had to basically beg them to order the correct contacts for me without me turning in the wrong box first because I was leaving to go out of town for the week. 1 and 1/2 weeks go by... still no contacts. I call them and ask if they came in, they reply "oh yes they've been here!". No one called me to let me know they were in! Still no apology once I picked them up and turned in the wrong box. Front desk staff is very rude and has poor phone manners. Will never go here again!

The worst eye doctors I've ever been to don't waste your time. The worst kind of workers you'll meet, set up an appointment in a month advance, waited 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment just for them to call me up to fill out a whole packet and wait even longer, left before they could even call me name. Terrible experience and honestly terrible workers honestly.

I made an appointment for 2 weeks ago, sat there for about an hour past my appointment time & when i went up again and asked how much longer it would be. They said about another hour and a half more. I couldn't wait for that so i just made another appointment and the same thing happened again! I wasted 2 and a half hours sitting in their office before i walked out. I will not be going there any more!!

The front desk staff is very rude and they sit their and talk about their patients. They are very unprofessional . I was on time they took someone before me and didn't proceed to let me know I was going to have to wait a little longer then my appointment time. I do not recommend this place to anyone. The staff needs to be re-educated on professionalism.

Wife had appt. today she got there and they told her they changed her appt from today to yesterday. No message on either phone. Funny thing is they told her the Dr is only there on Tuesday. Yesterday was Monday
