America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

My husband and I both had a great experience at America's Best in Monroe. Dr. Obuamah's exams were comprehensive and caring. Junitza and her colleagues were patient, friendly, and professional. I highly recommend this location for any eye care needs!

Used to be a nice place before. I guess there's some new people there had to go to Monroe eye Care instead. At least I got great personal service. Sometimes corporate franchises forget individual personal services always best. Maybe the new owners or the new people in charge will start to realize that long-time customer here will not return

The doctor who treated me was totally rude, she is a woman with glasses and high, she discriminated against me for not knowing how to speak English and started screaming that I don't know how to speak English, and I was even embarrassed to speak it since I feel sorry to speak it in public but I understand it. The horrible things he said about me, that I don't speak English, harassing me and above all he didn't allow me to choose my glasses myself, which in the end I chose and paid. As if I were a thief. And I was able to choose calmly when she left and the girl who does speak Spanish arrived, who is totally friendly and attentive, and made me feel safe and was cordial. I felt humiliated, discriminated against and above all judged. I won't go back there.

My mom and I recently went to America's Best optical in Monroe, NY. Everyone worked together to provide a smooth and effective optical experience. Doctor Benedicta Obuamah was very personable and skilled at examining our eyes. Making sure to provide us with an accurate prescription that meets our needs. I would definitely go back again and highly recommend.

Went to the Monroe store for the first time. Staff was excellent from exam to frame selection. Sorry to hear store is closing. This is the closest store to Rockland county and made it convenient after closing the spring valley location.

This is my second year using America's Best after going for years to Lens Crafter and a private eye doctor. The optometrist Ms Benedicta told me I had an issue with my eye which never did my previous doctor acknowledge. And she was right. Also getting progressive eyewear was always an issue. Never got it right. But America's Best sure did. Second year, second pair of glasses. Both time they got it right on point. Thank you.

I've been going here for about 3 years. Staff are friendly, helpful, and I've always been seen on time. Doctor Obuamah was kind and explained everything clearly, and Marta was patient in helping me pick out frames that flattered my face. She also made sure they were designed to my needs, and made clear what my insurance would and wouldn't cover.

Crystal was amazing! Love the eye doc too. Frame selection was adequate as the pricing. $69 for an eye exam if you don't have insurance also not bad
