Eye Q of CNY

I've gone here twice now, once my standard appointment and once to get my glasses replaced and both times I've been met with rudeness because of things that are not of my control. The first time in June 2024, Joseph, the owner was extremely rude during my first ever appointment. Understandably he was upset because the receptionist gave me the incorrect time when I made my appointment. He condescendingly asked if had a job, and was surprised when I answered yes. Joseph also said that my prescription didn't change, although when I asked if I'm getting new glasses he said "Yes you are" Which I found redundant although he wouldn't really answer any of my questions. I was extremely put off by this although I decided to give them a second chance when my glasses broke less than a week ago. Diane was the only one there which I was initially revealed about but then I noticed that the new glasses she put my lenses into were a different color than the ones I wear now. My glasses have yellow gold colored sides and the new glasses were white gold, more like silver. I brought it up to her two times and both times she was admitted that it's exactly the same until I put them side by side. I asked if she had glasses that were closer to the original color and Diane replied with "Do you want new glasses for free" very rudely. I ended up leaving with my original glasses that are still broken because I don't wear silver and the new glasses would not go with anything I own. Both situation could have been handled differently. Maybe they thought they could be rude to me because I'm younger but this behavior is not acceptable. I'm sure this business will die out since it's more suited to the older generation. I will not be returning. Please thing twice about going to EyeQ.

Everything about my yearly appointment was such a pleasant experience. Dr Joe Carrock was amazing, thorough, and kind. The optician, Diane gave great recommendations for my glasses, and knew all about the latest and newest fashion. Plus she took the time to ensure I was going to get the best deal!! Overall it was an amazing experience and I highly recommend Eye Q!!

Dr. Carrock and Diane took very good care of me and made me feel very welcomed! They both did an excellent job at creating a very welcoming atmosphere. Diane did an awesome job helping me pick out glasses that look great on me!

I had an excellent experience today. Dr. Carrock and Diane were extremely helpful and understanding of my vision needs. Dr. Carrock's willingness to try and find the perfect contact fit was refreshing. The office is impeccably maintained. All safety protocols were in place and practiced with care.

Dr. Carrock was great, exam was professional. The lady who answered the phone was a nightmare, I stated I wore glasses regularly and wanted a few sets of daily contacts for certain occasions, after my exam she quotes me $980 for my glasses and contacts (enough for every day of the year) which I declined and just took the glasses....when I came back to pick up the glasses she was barefoot in the office, didn't have the screwdriver to adjust my new glasses, and stated she made a mistake on my bill and charged me $70 for a lens fitting that was covered by my insurance, but said I had to contact my insurance provider to get the money back, and I was presented with a new bill (for the same amount) adjusted in a way in which confused me. When I called my insurance provider they claimed they submitted a claim for the contact lens fitting as well as the exam, which I had already paid for. I know have to submit a claim to get back my money...do not recommend, I'll do better research next time

We called to have our 15yr old try contacts and they got us in the next day! They really took the time teaching her how to wear the contacts and she was able to go home in them! Very friendly and personable. Highly recommend!

I popped in yesterday afternoon after my sunglasses arm unscrewed from the lenses, hoping maybe someone could put a screw in and fix them. I knocked on the door and the women opened, clearly irritated. She said, Picking up?" Not hello, just barked. I said no, with a smile and held up my sunglasses, but before I could ask if they could possibly repair them, she barked again, "we don't do that"! I was completely startled at her response and asked if she could advise me where I might go, she replied, barking, "Walmart" and locked the door. All she needed to say to me was that they unfortunately did not do repairs and maybe try Walmart. I've read reviews and it appears the Dr is A+, but clearly this woman is not a happy camper! I walked into Empire VisionWorks next to Market Place and they repaired with a smile and no charge!

I tried this place after a previous experience with America's Best, which wasn't that great. This place is top notch and takes their time to give you a quality eye exam and glasses which are right for you. Don't give your money to a corporate chain. This place doesn't rush you in an out like cattle in a slaughter house and their prices are reasonable for a small private place.
