Do not go to the eye doctor at the New Hartford Vision Center. I needed a simple contact lens exam which the North Utica & Rome Walmart doctors do in one easy session. The New Hartford doctor insisted on 3 separate visits, 2 of them to do unnecessary tests even though I have no personal or family history of eye problems and have no current issues. The tests he did were painful and unlike any tests I've ever had at other locations. He did not seem to care at all when I expressed discomfort. He was rude and blamed the discomfort on the size of my eyes, which clearly I have no control over. After the second visit, I left without contacts and cancelled the 3rd appointment. Now I get to pay 100% out of pocket to go back to the doctor in the Rome location. This doctor is highly unprofessional & does not provide an appropriate level of care, so steer clear of this location. I only gave it 1 star because 0 isn't an option, but there is no way I would ever go near this place again.

I have been going here for about 10 years. Dr. Rafalski has been very thorough, professional and attentive to my concerns. Some of the front of store people have been there as long as I have been going there. They are always friendly and helpful. The warranty that is included with the glasses is excellent.
