I'm a returning patient and have trusted Dr. Schrier with my 18-year-old son's care for years. I recently brought my 9-year-old for his first visit, and the experience was just as wonderful. The front desk staff was professional, friendly, and very welcoming. Dr. Schrier is truly amazing -- he's thorough, patient, and fantastic with children. He took his time, explained everything clearly, and made my son feel completely comfortable, even though he was nervous at first. Thank you to Dr. Schrier and the entire team for such excellent care. We highly recommend this office!

I can't say enough good things about Brookhaven opticians. I have been coming here for over a decade. I left a large national retailer and I haven't looked back. Dr. Shreier is wonderful and the opticians are great. They are always honest and help me choose the best looking and best fitting glasses for my face. They have a great selection of frames. The service is friendly, personal, efficient and always on time. Parking is easy. And the location on Main St. is great--I walk down the street when I'm done and treat myself to a coffee or ice cream. Try Brookhaven Opticians. You will be glad you did!

The owner, Mr. Paul Mastrorocco, goes far beyond what would normal be expected when it comes to service, personal attention, and professionalism! On my behalf he contacted my group of eye doctors, with whom he has an ongoing relationship, and addressed my specific concerns/issues. --- My experience with Paul Mastrorocco and Dr. Barnett Schrier (of the Stony Brook office) was excellent! Prior to contacting Paul, I had been examined by two cornea-specialist ophthalmologists within four weeks. Soon thereafter, one evening, I emailed Paul's Patchogue office, describing my situation, and asking if he thought he could help me. The very next morning (before 8:00 am), Paul called me (from his home I believe), and we talked at length about my symptoms, history, etc., as he wanted to obtain a full understanding and ultimately determine how best to help me. --- At Paul's request (in order to rule out a couple of other possible causes for my symptoms), I met with another specialized Ophthalmologist* that Paul had recommended, and also with my family doctor for some updated lab work. * When the specialized Ophthalmologist could only offer an extended appointment date, Paul made a couple of calls and had that date moved up (which I was very appreciative of, due to the severity of my symptoms). --- After ruling out other possible causes for my symptoms and then having a very thorough eye exam from Dr. Schrier (whom, coincidently, I had been a patient of over 23 years ago), Paul was able to prescribe / fit me with a new pair of eyeglasses (made CORRECTLY by a premier lab out of state) that I am very happy with. --- The bottom line is, if you're looking for someone who truly cares about helping his patients, I highly recommend Paul Mastrorocco!!
