had a very disappointing experience at Visionworks. The staff member who assisted me had a clear attitude from the moment I approached the counter. They seemed annoyed, gave short responses, and made me feel like I was inconveniencing them just by asking questions.
When you go somewhere for eye care, you expect professionalism and basic courtesy. Instead, I was met with poor customer service and a complete lack of willingness to help. It felt like they simply didn't want to do their job.
I hope management takes this seriously because customers deserve respect and proper assistance, especially in a healthcare-related setting.
I absolutely love this vision works. I was originally going to the one in Medford because it is closer to where I live, but this location takes the cake! The wait is not bad at all, with friendly and helpful service. It's a medical office, not a fast food place. If you presume you are an exception to waiting, you clearly admit your intellectual modesty. The staff members are always so sweet and very helpful with any questions or concerns. They helped me pick the frames that best fit me, along with sorting out the warranty on my current pair! I cannot wait to pick up my two pairs of glasses, and for my future appointments!!
Outstanding customer service. Front desk was very responsive and the eye doctor guided me through the examination process with patience and care. The person that helped me put my order together was very knowledgeable and very helpful. I recommend everyone to try this location in our beautiful Patchogue location.
My experience was excellent. I did not wait long to be seen the eye doctor check my eyes and explained everything thoroughly. The rest of the staff was very hospitable and I was able to order my glasses right away. The whole experience was very pleasant.
Unpleasent staff ( I would't say rude ) and frame slection is also average. Seems very busy place and its a good location . Overall just an average place , could be better if the staff could be more friendly. I keep editing my review while I was am here and more time I spend here more I realize they are definately very unpleasent or they just do't like our presence . Will try out best not to come here again.
I had a 12:30 appt here today. I wasn't seen until 1. The guy who signed me in wanted me to get some special testing that had a $35 copay, I declined. I sat there for half an hour, then saw the optometrist. As I was waiting I hear everyone coming in being pressed to get the new test for $35. I heard everyone being pitched to get progressive lenses. The first thing the optometrist suggested when I entered the room was the new progressive lenses... The eye exam I got was unlike anything I've ever experienced in 30 years... the machine was dirty, smudges on the lenses and when I asked the doctor to clean it she got annoyed and finally cleaned the lenses. Then I realized not only were the lenses smudged, they are also seriously scratched. Every set of letters the doctor showed me were all so blurred and when given the two options they both looked the same... every option. None of them ever became clearer. Like no changes were being made at all. Then she tells me she has to put dye in my eyes (I've never had this in 30 years), and she had to check me for cataracts because something was wrong with my vision because I couldn't see any difference in the "changes" she was making. The whole test I never saw any change or sharpening of the letters. She told me I had to get the test that isn't covered and is a $35 copay. I told her I would think about it and come back if I wanted to. This doctor actually told me I can't come back and get the test, I HAD to do it right now. I told her NO... she asked me again if I'm getting the progressive lenses or the bifocals... I told her neither, I don't want them. then she tells me she's going to walk me out to the other associates to go pick my frames out. I didn't even get an eye exam that resulted in a clear vision prescription and she's rushing me out to go pick frames and get glasses made. I told her NO. She had written my prescription before the eye exam was even complete or successful. She said "we'll increase it a bit". Secondly, I went to the men's room while being there for over an hour. There is a smear of feces on the doorframe on the hallway side of the bathroom, and feces on the toilet tank top and on the wall, as well as MANY boogers wiped on the wall, and old gummed up urine (days old) all over the toilet, floor and wall. Utterly filthy and disgusting, and my experience dealing with the optometrist was mind blowingly horrible. I've never had an experience like this at any eye doctor, and would never go back to this filthy place.
I am giving less than 5 stars only because the dr asked me if my glasses were only for distance. She has been my dr for a few years at this location and should have seen that I wear progressives. I dont feel so special that I expect to be remembered but Check a persons history.
I already had my Rx from another place. The lady at the front desk was pleasant and knowledgeable. I was in and out picking my frames, sizing and paying in less then 30 minutes. That was by far the fastest service I received at this location. The key is to have your Rx from a DIFFERENT place in hand. Never see the Dr at Visionworks, unless you want to wait over 2 hours, even if you're the first appointment!
