Unfortunately this practice is a huge waste of time. You will be kept waiting for hours - while being shuffled back and forth to the girls handling eyeglasses (I did not need glasses - I was there for a medical eye problem). The staff is unfriendly, although Dr. Cossack is pleasant. The best thing that came from my visits there was a referral to a SightMD office.

I would not recommend this practice for any pediatric patients, especially if your child has any form of a disability. The utter lack of patience and empathy shown to children is alarming. My daughter is four years old and it was her first visit. The doctor's assistant was very short with her and was getting upset over very simple things; such as when my daughter was sitting in the examiner chair and her legs were not perfectly straight. When it came to the dilation my daughter was very nervous and scared, what four year old would like getting their eyes dilated? The assistant was clearly getting very frustrated when we had to attempt multiple times to get the drops in. After, we were called into the room by the doctor. He started to abruptly shine bright lights and put random objects in front of my daughters eyes without even explaining to her what was going on. This frighted her as she thought it possibly could've been him trying to put something in her eyes again, as she was still fearful from the dilation drops. My daughter was saying "I don't want that, I'm getting scared." As I was trying to reassure her that it was just a simple test to look at the light (which the doctor really should've explained to her in the first place before starting) he then stated "wow she seems to have a lot of behavioral issues, you should get those checked out." The doctor was more concerned about her "behaviors" then actually taking the time to show her patience and empathy, as she was just very nervous for her first optho visit as a four year old. I would highly NOT recommend this practice for any pediatric patients as the extreme lack of patience, care or empathy was shown to my daughter during her first visit.

This used to be a good practice. It is now awful with terrible service from booking, examination to invoicing. We wouldn't recommend them to families anymore. Greed has destroyed this practice. They have zero consideration for patients. Service is slow and inadequate. There are many better practices nearby.

It doesn't matter how good you are at your profession if you have no consideration for other people's precious time. 2 hours to finally be seen without even dilation is unreasonable. This destroyed our entire day and there wasn't even an apology. It's not the first time but it will be the last. We are leaving the practice.

Dr. Cossari is an Amazing Doctor! My daughter just had surgery and I'm extremely happy I chose him to perform this surgery. Dr. Cossari is Extremely knowledgeable and is Amazing with kids!

Dr. Cossari is the absolute best eye doctor. He saved me. He gave me my quality of life back. I highly recommend him and trust him.

Been going here since I was a kid and now my son goes here. Best pediatric eye doctor on Long Island (in my opinion).
