Dr. Sugnet was wonderful, and the woman who helped me find glasses was also great. However, the receptionist was curt and unhelpful. She informed me that my insurance didn't cover eyewear, only the appointment itself, which is understandable. But she could have offered that I could purchase eyewear and submit a reimbursement myself. I would have chosen to pay out-of-pocket or used my HSA funds, but I'm not inclined to do either because of her behavior. She wasn't explicitly rude, but she certainly wasn't kind. She wasn't a good example of customer service. I received a voicemail asking if I wanted to change my appointment time. I didn't want to do that, but I thought it might be helpful if someone wanted to leave early, who knows. She sounded annoyed because she gave me a flat, if not rude, voice on the phone. Another instance occurred when I finished my appointment and was unsure whether to check out first or look at glasses in the lobby. When I inquired about the order, she informed me that the doctor had instructed me to sit in the lobby. While I was aware that the doctor had informed me of the designated area to choose glasses, I was uncertain if there was an additional step involved. It does not take effort to be be kind to others, this is clear based on the demeanor of others in the office. I sincerely hope that the reception thinks about her disposition and it's impact on clients moving forward.

Dr. Sugnet is great, always on time and makes sure to respect your time. At the same time, he allows plenty of time for questions and concerns. Highly professional, highly recommend.

The staff at Alexander Eye were accommodating and made it convenient to schedule a new patient appointment. Dr. Caito is incredibly welcoming and friendly. He is great at explaining things clearly without being patronizing and made it very easy to return for a follow up contact fitting exam. Not to mention the office is very clean and accessible (with convenient parking). I'd highly recommend Alexander Eye to anyone in need of eye care.

The reception was extremely short with me, bordering on being outright rude. I only needed a prescription for new lenses. The OD, Dr. Sugnet, insisted on doing a full exam including pupillary dilation. I did not want this, but he would not give me my prescription without doing it. I relented and let him do it, but I feel like I shouldn't have. To be clear, he had my affirmative consent to do this, but he held my prescription hostage in order to get it.

As usual a very thorough exam with Dr. Caito. This was only for a pressure check but results were explained for my understanding.

I've been a going to Alexander Eye for a few years now. After numerous poor experiences at the VA and other large chain optical establishments, I figured I would venture elsewhere. A friend of Mine told me about Alexander and wouldn't stop talking about how much he loved that place, (which i thought was weird cause why would you talk about your eye doctor like that) and now I am happy to know what he was talking about. Dr. Sugnet gives ME recommendations on my what tests we should conduct and why, my contacts/glasses that best suit my eye and takes the time to further educate me on my eye health. I never feel rushed or that I am pressured to purchase anything. They have always been flexible with my every changing and crazy schedule and the receptionists have always followed up with reminder calls (which I need).The Eye glass selection is amazing with tons a great styles and I think Jimmy spent almost an hour recently helping me choose which frame not only suited me best but also fit properly..... I didn't even purchase glasses from them that day! but they were so accommodating that I went back to make sure the people who deserved my business got it. The list goes on. If your looking for an outstanding Eye health experience.... look no further. They don't accept my employers insurance, I can get free eye exams and glasses from the VA... I still come back and will continue too. When your dealing with something as important as your vision.... I would think you would want the best care possible and this is where you'll find it.

I have been going to Dr. Caito for over ten years. He is phenomenal. His eye exams are incredibly thorough. Highly recommend.

Dr. Caito has been my Optometrist for at least 5 years and I find him to be professional and intelligent. During exams he is thorough and provides a clear and concise summary at the end which is appreciated. He often explains things in further detail than I've seen from other doctors which I like to think is because he is so interested in his work and cares about patients. He is calm, always in a pleasant mood, and I feel very genuine. Dr. Sugnet was also professional and helpful the one time I met with him. While some reviews note rudeness from the receptionist I find them to be professional but not overly friendly. Perhaps it was a bad day for them.
