Dr. Ingalls is awesome! My eye doctor retired and recommend Dr. Ingalls. I waa having issues with my contacts and due to her smarts, patience and some creativity, I think she figured everything out! She is the contact lens guru!

Ive been suffering with inflammation and pain in my eyes for some years now. After visiting 4 other eye specialists who all have given me different diagnosis from perforated retina, tumor, degenerative cornea disease and one even said my eyes were perfectly heathy I had to try Flaum because I was told they were the best in Rochester. I was given an appointment for two days later but received a call after saying they could see me in an hour which was awesome. I arrived on time at 1:30 and was the only patient in the waiting room. After 30 minutes I was questioned and examined by a Dr and after he wanted to turn me over to his supervisor so she could take a closer look. After a little while longer she also performed another exam. When she completed she wanted to step out to review my chart and consult with the other doctor and said she would be right back. After 1 hour and 40 minutes of being along in the exam room I decided to take a walk to the bathroom to try and find some water and possibly find the doctors. I walked the halls to find no one and there were no longer any receptionists to check in with either. So I left after 4 1/2 hours of being on the campus for an eye exam with again no outcome. They don't care so don't go there.

Dr Mithra Gonzales. Crittenden Avenue office . Surgery done at Strong. It should have been a red flag when they set me up for surgery within 2 weeks of my appointment. I was on blood thinners but he said that was okay. Then I find out no other surgeon would ever have done a surgery on me while on blood thinners. The eyebrow lift left deep uneven scars way above my eyebrow. One of them is darker and higher than the other. They're so deep makeup can't cover them. I can't believe any doctor would cut a woman like this. A plastic surgeon said he would have never cut a woman that way for this surgery . He said it was an awful job. At my age I'm forced to wear bangs because I'm so self-conscious. When I go outside I wear a hat in case the wind blows. I'm embarrassed for anybody to see how hideous I look. One of these scars is deeper than the other. You can see my natural brow underneath the scars I'm very sad. And at my last post-op appointment Dr Gonzalez just kept apologizing. He did not even take a post-op picture to compare to the first one that my initial visit. My eyebrows and eyelids are even lower after the surgery than they were before. With one being even lower kind of hanging lower on my eyelid. You can see how heavy and pull down my eyes are now that didn't used to be that bad. After my complaints there's been no offer of helping me get this fixed. After many phone calls to Strong Hospital complaining about this they just seem to Gaslight me along the way and pacify me telling me a bunch of bullshit. This was a completely botched surgery all the way around leaving my eyes heavy bothering me when I drive in terrible scars. My left eye I can feel the weight of my eyelid and it bothers me terribly

After some intense physical exertion I got hundreds of floaters in my right eye. I came in a week and six hours before a previously scheduled appointment. They took me in right away and it could not have gone better. Perhaps this is why some of the others reviewers had to wait. Because they care too much. Sorry for cutting the line everyone else on Thursday August 14th at 8 am. Thank you Dr. Cox, Etienne, and the woman at the 1st floor reception for getting me in.

They cancelled my daughters Dr appointment with Dr Pineda one hour before the appointment and did not offer to reschedule it. When I called to schedule. I waited and waited on hold and could not get in touch with anyone in there office. May not be the Doctors fault these days but who's fault is it? Someone needs to take responsibility, my daughter still needs treatment... Will be contacting a different provider.

One star given because the fellows and drs were at least nice and interactive when we were seen by them during the visit. The problem.is actually being SEEN. We arrived on time for my daughter's 9:30am appt. Parking is just atrocious for this place. After an hours wait we were taken into an office and the fellow took history, meds and did a brief and basic exam. We then were brought to a different waiting area where we waited until NOON before we were brought into an office. At 12:30pm the dr and 2 others came in, briefly discussed the need for drops for her eyes (my daughter has been seen for her genetic issue and subsequent eye concerns since she was 18 mos old) and it would be another 10 mins for the drops to take effect. At 1:15 pm the dr and entourage finally returned and her eye exam FINALLY happened. My daughter is in a wc and has blood pooling. Sitting around for FOUR HOURS is challenging enough for any individual, let alone for a person with poor blood return. The wait time is absolutely unacceptable. We've been at interdisciplinary clinics where MRI (with sedation) and 3 specialists are seen during the coarse of the day. Spending almost an entire day for ONE appt that takes about 30 mins total is insane. I don't care who they are, how nice they are, where they are. One Mom with 2 kiddos had been there for an 8am appt and it was noon was she was brought back. So this can't be a matter of taking time with pts and as a result getting backed up. This is overbooking to bill max amount and not caring about pt time, while pts all need to honor physician time. We will NOT be back.

It sucks to see so many negative reviews when I had such a wonderful experience. The staff were so gentle and kind and professional with me and I couldn't have had a better experience. I was going through something deeply traumatic and I was terrified of the surgery and the aftermath but they were just so great and nice. They calmed all my fears and continued to be just as professional and kind with my follow ups.

The front desk employees on the 3rd floor that you check out with, Etienne and Abigail, should NOT be working in customer service. They're seriously so rude and not even knowledgeable that it makes each visit really unpleasant to have to deal with them. Plus, as a rule of thumb, if you're going to talk about patients to each other, especially the one you literally just interacted with, it's best to wait until they're fully out of earshot to do so. It's an eye clinic, not a hearing clinic. Talking about anyone is incredibly rude and unprofessional, but doing it right after they turn away is completely unacceptable and is not at all a good impression of UR Health.
