Had a great experience with the doctor and the optical shop technician during my initial exam. Was called today to come pick up my glasses - they close at 4:30 so I asked if I could come before lunch. The tech didn't seem confident that he would know what he is doing by himself. When I arrived there were still 2 optical techs working and they were both very short with me and unpleasant compared to the kind older woman from before. Since I came in the middle of my work day, I needed to take my contacts out to check my new glasses. The optical tech refused to give me a disposable case or anything to take my contacts out. I paid nearly $800 for a pair of glasses and wanted to make sure the prescription was correct. They stated it is against policy to provide a disposable contact case and that I'd have to come back another day if the prescription was not correct. (But it would take a few weeks to fix). If this is indeed a policy, shame on the UofR for being so stingy after their patients have spent so much money at their business. I was also handed my $800 glasses in a plastic bag and had to specifically ask for a protective case. I did not receive quality care today, I am not impressed.

Made an appointment over the phone on a tuesday for the following friday. Called friday morning to confirm the appointment time and adress and the same lady on the phone who made my appointment told me i didn't have one and the next availability was 2 weeks away. Dr Williams is one of the best doctors I've had! She's very informative and knowledgeable about her field and has been working diligently to help me and also has great communication in and out of the office.
