We love Dr Markowitz as he did a amazing job in our Sons eye surgery however...not impress with staff for other son My son had an appointment back in 2020 which we had cancelled since he was a preemie N we didn't feel safe bringing him out due to Covid . Fast forward to now he's 6 and needs an eye doctor. He tested positive for Covid and I called to reschedule and the rude lady said we were disqualified from the practice due to two cancellations. My other kids go here so I'll be sure to just come on in even if we're sick. Sorry about having consideration for others. Knowing babies come in this office we couldn't help but stay away with Covid. Shame on this office. I don't feel safe bringing my other son here for his glow up's since they expect people to come sick.

Never choose this place not only are the secretaries rude and impatient, doctor Sean Mogan holds grudges and is not understanding at all . Last year I was scheduled for a surgery a month out from when I had to cancel . I had to get my deposit back which I did in a timely fashion only like 4 days after they gave it back , due to my blood pressure being to high at the time for a surgery, when I saw my primary doctor a few days after my consultation due to some health issues They gave me my deposit back , but a year later after I'm proud and glad to say without medication thru diet, exercise , and weight loss was able to get my blood pressure to healthy normal levels , I called them and wanted to see doctor Sean Mogan for another appointment to go ahead with the lower blepharoplasty , which I told the secretary this time I would be able to go thru with the surgery now . I would pay in full pay after the consultation, especially now that I would be able to have it due to my blood pressure being normal again, and cleared from my primary doctor to do so. So she said I was on a list from doctor Mogan according to his notes , too never accept me again, she said she would talk to him about it when he was back from vacation. She the secretary called me back a week after and said that I'm not a good fit and they would not take me ever again . She couldn't give me the specific reason even due to my valid cancellation a year ago due to my blood pressure, which is now under control . How arrogant and what a lack of empathy , absolutely no understanding to treat me like this and not grant me another consultation when I really wanted to have the surgery now , especially, having clearance with my blood pressure being ok. I find it reprehensible especially a medical establishment and a doctor to not have the decency, to give me a valid specific reason meaning Dr Mogan . To just give a general blacklist reason for me not a good fit? I will have to look elsewhere for my surgery and wanted to share my treatment from this place so others don't have to go thru what I did . I guess now I'm glad to not have the sirgery with him esp if this is the way Dr Morgan operates and this whole place ocusight .

CHECK INSURANCE BEFORE APPOINTMENT! The doctors are wonderful however, very disappointed with the way the office is run as far as communication. We had ZERO communication that they were discontinuing VSP effective Jan 1.. If we had prior communication, I would have confirmed insurance coverage through our medical insurance. My son and husband had appointments in January and the front desk alerted them at that time that they no longer worked with VSP however, said they would just run it through our medical insurance. Our mistake, they didnt think anything of it, and assumed coverage- they proceeded with the appointment...we were hit with 2 large bills for non coverage. Just last week, we finally received an online message that "Effective Jan 1, Occusight no longer taking VSP"..over a month after the fact.. little too late. We should have been told prior to January. We are now leaving the practice after 15 years and moving to another VSP provider. Just heads up to check insurance prior to appointment and don't assume (like we did) that medical insurance would cover it.

My twin girls have been going here for years. One is severely autistic and the one I took in for an appointment today is autistic, sensory processing disorder, and more anxiety than most adults have and she's seven. Dr. Markowitz deserves 5 stars. I will give a follow up review for him. I would think a place that we have been going to for 5 years the staff would be more accommodating to special needs and less rude. I shouldn't have to tell people she has all these issues. I won't name anyone but the person who checked my daughter and I out was more concerned about how many stickers my daughter had in her hands (maybe five), than checking The receptionist very rudely told her to only pick one. Other kids want them too. Which I understand but come on. I worked in a doctors office. I know how much those stickers cost and if it keeps her from having an anxiety attack it should have been ok. She has a lot of specialist Appointments and the staff would NEVER humiliate and admonish for too many stickers. This woman didn't smile once. These stickers shouldn't be an excuse to be rude. I don't know what happened in the last 6 months but even the assistant to the doctor didn't crack a smile once. And she always is so nice. People have bad days, I get that. But ones that have always been so friendly? And so many seemed absolutely miserable.

I don't like to name names.. but this is how poor my experience was at the optical shop. Kim the older woman with glasses was the rudest, most disrespectful representative I have ever dealt with. Every question I asked was answered with an impatient and snarky remark. I don't normally go to this location and I never want to return. On the elevator back down to the lobby, the woman next to me stated the optical shop was extremely rude to her as well. I do not recommend Brighton Ocusight at all. I hope they undergo some serious changes and start treating people with respect.. doubtful though.

I'm ONLY giving a review on the individual who answered the phone at the Brighton location when I needed to reschedule an appointment. She was rude and nasty and acted like I was a complete bother. What a HUGE turnoff, I won't name names. Hopefully the Greece location staff is better.

My husband and I scheduled appointments with Dr. Shin. My husband had seen him earlier and like him a lot. We called early summer and scheduled for the end of October. A few days before the appointment, staff member called us to cancel because doctor changed his surgery days. The earliest appointments we were able to get were for Feb 7. We did not received usual reminders so I called clinic several times on Feb 6 just to hear regular off hours message (I was calling within work hours). I checked Web site and learned that the whole clinic was closed on Feb 6 and 7 for staff development. Nobody bothered to call us. I called clinic again on Feb 10 to learn that our appointments were cancelled. I was offered to schedule new appointments. No apologies were offered. Isn't this impressive?

Dr. Ryan is the best. HOWEVER, we continually have to wait close to 1 1/2 - 2 hours for our appt. The office mgr. obviously isn't around to see patients waiting in long lines to register. Something needs to be done to correct this. We spend either most of the AM or PM waiting to be called. If anyone would like to speak with me, I'd love to talk to someone. We missed an appt after seeing Dr. R & I am not the only one complaining about this. Dr. R apologizes but nothing ever happens each & every appt. I'd change to another eye care but I have to go where my ins. is. PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS.
