I have just switched to this place after my insurance stopped covering my previous eye doctor. I have only visited the glasses department, but Allen was truly incredible. He was able to answer ANY question I had. He took the time to thoroughly explain concepts that were unfamiliar to me and explained every step along the way AND why, which speaks to his strengths as a high quality provider. Allen displayed exemplary customer service and was an absolute joy to work with. I cannot recommend him and this place enough!!!!!

I am not understanding the negative reviews. I have been coming here for years and find everyone very nice and the care is wonderful. It is so convenient having optical right there, I come out of my appt and order my glasses which come in timely. They are so helpful.

This was my first time here, as other places stopped taking my insurance. I thought everyone was wonderful. From check-in, techs and the doctor. All friendly, greeted with a smile and thoroughly explained everything they were doing and checking for. Definitely a step up from other places I went to in the past. Look forward to my next visit!

They got my contact prescription wrong twice in a row. First appointment the doctor game me a weaker prescription than the prescriptions I had been used for the past 5+ years. I told the doctor I needed a stronger prescription in my second exam (but the doctor wasn't listening and even changed one eye to an even weaker prescription...I still couldn't see clearly). There was also no following up from first visit and they tried to make me sign a waiver saying I might be charged for another exam when I went in for the second visit due to blurry vision. The staff were overall not a pleasant experience and staff gave me the wrong variety (astigmatism) of contact for some of my contact trials. I wish I could be refunded for my unpleasant experience this clinic at 2301 Lac De Ville Blvd. I shouldn't have had to walk away from an eye clinic with blurry vision twice when I have never had blurry vision with any prescription I've ever been given. When a patient says they can't tell a difference between 2 slides, use more techniques to ensure the prescription is correct. Listen to your patient! Be patient with your patient and listen. The initial eye exam was from a technician who did the exam too quickly as well, which could have thrown off the whole process for the doctor. The technician was also rude in demeanor, reprimanding me for not bringing in my eye glasses and then lecturing me when no one mentioned the need to bring in glasses over the phone when I made the eye contact appointment. Staff was willing to make a third appointment (after I had to wait an hour for a call back with the doctors approval to have a follow up), but instead I went to Eyemart in Henrietta. The doctor listened and tried more options to ensure I was getting the best prescription for seeing and keeping my eyes healthy with no overstraining. They have a follow up appointment as part of the process too. And, they charged me less for the appointment (I have insurance).

I stopped in to ask a few questions about my insurance coverage in regard to getting new frames. I had stepped on my current pair of glasses and bent the frames pretty bad! I was greeted by Josh and he was fantastic! He was honest, personable and explained clearly the transition to Rochester regional could affect my ins coverage this week. Then he took my broken glasses and fixed them for me!!! I was so impressed; this is the reason I have been a return customer for over 10 years now.

I've been a patient for 3 years, each time seeing a different doctor and for my exam. They've all been great, but the most recent was Dr Albert and she was fantastic! She knew a lot about a condition I have and helped put my worries at ease. The staff at both offices are always helpful and pleasant. I choose to go here even though they are out of network with my vision insurance!

Very rude, called that I had a piece of metal in my eye, told me I need to get records from Vision Works before they would see me. Vison Works had nothing to do with my situation, it was for prescription contacts. Would not schedule an appointment for me. Don't waste your time.

My husband and I are new patients at Rochester Eye Associates. We had our first appointment today. The office staff was welcoming and professional. Our visit from check-in to check out was extremely efficient. It was such a pleasure to meet Dr. Gustin. She was personable, professional and thorough. She explained all the procedures that were being performed and left no questions unanswered. Thank you Dr Gustin. We are happy that you are now our eye care specialist.
