I would give the old gentleman that helped me a five stars. He was very polite and great communication, as well as being patient because of my Insurance, although Donna, who I believe is optician or maybe a receptionist. Not quite sure. I felt she was very rude and uncalled for her demeanor was very poor
The staff, most notably dr. Emily Helena gottschalk, moved very quickly preventing a bad situation when my husband lost partial vision in his eye. We are so grateful for her expertise and kindness.
I'd stay far away from this company. My son had an eye exam, whereby the doctor said his prescription had changed slightly. He got a pair of glasses, picked them up, but was not asked at the time how effective they were. He told the gentleman that he could not see properly, and was told to give it time. He said wear them for a month, and if you still have issues, make another appointment-----ridiculous, but that's what we did.
Today, he went in, and was told the prescription was correct, but that there was an issue with his right eye. Was told to make yet another appointment with the doctor. In addition, the staff were not cordial or helpful.
We are not making another appointment; we are going to America's Best, and hopefully, we will find out the issue, and get him new lenses so he will be able to see properly.
When I told various people we were going to Reed, they warned me not to; I wish I had listened.
Since RRH took over Reed Eye Associates it had gone downhill. Saw Dr Ellermeyer for 30 years. They are now refracting for Rx with prior dilation. Was told it's a time saver and not to worry about it. Took prescription and got glasses made. Can't wear either pair. The exam wasn't as thorough and I'm supposed to see eye doctor every six months for diabetes. Dr. Ellermeyer said it's protocol but new Dr said nope ...see you in a year. Won't be going back. RRH get your act together.
My Dr is awesome, Dr Heiligman. I go to Ridgeway Ave,staff is friendly and very helpful.
I've been a patient for 15 years and have had excellent experiences. My doctor retired this year so I seen Dr Lydia Pickrell. She is very kind and thorough. She explained everything to me very politely. She has an excellent demeanor and rapport.
If I could say no stars, I would. Service is non-existent. My glasses needed to be looked at. But what happened instead, my glasses were not cleaned, in fact they were held in the reps hands for maybe 10 seconds. On top of that, I was then told, nothing can be done, just have to use my insurance for a new eye appointment and schedule. The glasses I have, barely 2 years old. But my lens are so scratched up, my vision line is so bad I have to peak over the frames. Poor service, I should not even use that word in describe their business practices there. I just need new lens, Hell maybe even clean them for me. Stay away.
My hunband's rx glasses $300.00, I have a frame & just wanted plain sunglass lenses $300.00! Horrible! They used to have drawers full of extra glass cases...So stingy about giving them out now!
