Whelpley & Paul - Your Local Eye Doctor - Greece

This location in Greece has been the best optometrist and optician experience I've ever had. I don't usually leave reviews for health-related businesses because it's so subjective, but I'm just so impressed with this Whelpley & Paul location. I use glasses for distance on a daily basis, and have contacts for when I'd rather not wear glasses (a couple times a month). Since receiving my first pair of glasses 10 years ago, I've moved a lot and been to 4 or 5 different doctors and practices, including a different W&P location. The staff's kindness, professionalism, and responsiveness outshine all others. My appointments have been on-time and fast, but not rushed, and it has been easy to contact the office and arrange for more appointments or to order new contact lenses. Dr. Judith Archer is also pleasant and kind, and she clearly has a ton of experience and knowledge. She took the time to answer all of my questions and was so patient when it took me 10+ minutes to get my new contact lenses in to test them. The new prescription she gave me (in glasses and contacts) is giving me the clearest vision I've had in years---much better even than my first one, which previously was the best pair of glasses I had. The opticians took my concerns seriously when ordering new frames, and for the first time in years I didn't have to bring the glasses back for different lenses after receiving them. Usually, at other places, the first set of lenses makes me motion sick no matter how much I describe the problem to the optician when ordering. This time, it was perfect from the start. Also, they gave me a copy of my prescription and my pupillary distance measurements when I asked, without giving me a hard time about using online services to order super cheap glasses that I use in situations where the glasses are likely to be damaged or lost, like on vacation or during physical activity. I save my in-store glasses for daily wear. The selection of frames is a little smaller than I've seen at other practices, but there are still plenty of styles and sizes to choose from. For being such a small physical space, they fit a lot in there. The location on Latta Road is easy to get to, and parking is almost always available directly in front of the office. They accept the CSEA EBF vision plan. I am referring all of my friends and family to this location now, because it's been such a great experience.

Dr. Jordan Lamb is absolutely amazing! She has been so wonderful and thorough in caring for my little one. She takes her time to listen, explains everything clearly, and truly goes above and beyond. Dr. Lamb is knowledgeable, kind, patient, and genuine. We're so grateful to have her caring for our child. We highly recommend Dr. Lamb to any parent looking for an exceptional pediatric Optometrist! The staff is also great!

The staff here were very nice. I had a surprisingly short wait time before being called back for initial tests and only waited maybe an additional 5 minutes before seeing the Dr. She was very thorough and took the time to answer my questions. Next stop was seeing my options for frames and lenses. I spent approx. 30-40 minutes in total for my appointment. From start to finish this was a great visit. I would definitely recommend this office.

My glasses need to be adjusted every few days. They goofed on my granddaughter's no transition. When you call and leave a message no one calls you back. You go in there the receptionist is on her phone. This way you have to drive there. It was great years ago

I went to their optical office to get my glasses done last year and I had an accident where the glasses bent. I took the glasses to the optical office to have them fixed in a hot sand that allows the material to be melt so the technician can shape it and fix it,. so when I put them on the glasses would look normal on my face. not as they look now, bent to the side... -.Besides, I've had small frame glasses for a year that never worked for me. They charged the medicaid an exaggerated amount for the frame. and they didn't straighten my glasses . Now they call me for Follow-up Appointment...how funny! Let's see what happens.... 02/27/26 Well after a whole year with bent glasses I went to the optica and got a replacement. I received a call on the 16th day and was told my glasses were. at the office ready to be picked up. I answered. "oh what a nice surprise that I'm able to get the replacement glasses on time." well. I went to get my glasses, same day and the GPS said that the hours the office was open until 8:00 p.m.. and when I got there guess what. ? I found the place closed with a sign saying that they close at 3:00 p.m.. so this optica is by far a waste of time and if you plan to come over for service don't expect the best service. cuz the least thing that the person that called me could do was tell me is that the office were going to close early that day!! making me aware of !

Great Team, Doctor did a Great job, took her time during the exam. Picking out frames the team was patient and took their time to ensure I was Happy...

Went here for an eye exam and for a pair of glasses. I've got really poor vision and have been getting a lot of headaches. I was told it would take about a week a little longer for the glasses to come in. It's been nearly a month and still don't have them. I've called multiple times to check in and find out why and some of the times I call I'm met with an attitude and the person has that tone in their voice like " Oh, it's her again." They told me they would call twice now to try and figure out what is going on and that I would receive a call back to let me know. That was over a week ago. Never got a call. Always given the same answer and I'm tired of calling and being met with attitude. If you are desperate for glasses and expect people to be kind and courteous and helpful don't go here. 10/10 would not recommend. It's been a horrible experience. If I could have left 0 stars I would have.

I've used W & P for many years. The optician is terrific and the folks who help with the glasses are too!
