Dr. Hatsis is incredible. He is friendly, kind, and highly intelligent, with a deep knowledge of his craft that keeps him humble. He explains, before any exam or procedure, in detail and in words that a layperson can understand. He tells you what will be done, why it will be done, how it will be done, and what the possible results might be. He also explains what follow-up options are available. His bedside manner is nurturing--kind, caring, and empathetic.
His immediate staff are very professional, experienced, and knowledgeable about eye procedures and patient care. The front office team is warm, welcoming, and helpful. The office itself is spacious, well-lit, and creates a sense of warmth.
Dr. Hatsis provided me with the BEST eye examination in my seventy years of life. I would give him and his staff ten stars if I could.
I highly recommend anyone in need of an ophthalmologist to make an appointment ASAP. You will not be disappointed.

As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with the nicest hello from everyone only one nurse took me to all the different exams I needed to take. I felt like I was important. I was just not a number. I just was not. "What's your birthday "move along it wasn't a Factory. I felt like I was at home. I never felt so confident and I'm sure going forward will be the same. This doctor is unbelievably nice so considerate of my feelings he was warm, compassionate, considerate of my feelings And took such time with me, answered all my questions. You won't find a better doctor!! A year ago I had ICL surgery.. my only regret is that I wish I did it sooner. I had a great experience with this eye doctor. He is very kind, professional, and takes the time to explain everything clearly. His assistant doctor was also excellent and explained things very well. I originally stopped in just to make an appointment, but they were able to fit me in that same day. I waited about half an hour, which I thought was very reasonable. They did a full eye exam and provided me with my prescription on the spot.
The office in Rockville Centre (on Maple Avenue) is very clean, orderly, and well-run. I know they have several offices, but I went to this one and was very pleased with my visit.
Overall, I highly recommend them for both eye exams and surgery consultations.
