Dr. Hatsis (Jr.) was incredibly engaging and communicative with both my child and me--truly a pleasure. We felt heard and well cared for during the visit. I'm giving three stars solely due to the lengthy wait time. After my child's eyes were dilated, we were told we would be seen again in about 20 minutes, but it ended up being closer to 50 minutes--and that was only after I inquired about the wait. We had been forgotten. The total appointment time was approximately two hours. UPDATE: I'm increasing my rating from 3 to 4 stars because the office manager personally followed up to apologize for our experience. She clarified the standard wait for pediatric dilation, which is much longer than the 20 minutes I was told during the visit. I appreciate the office taking my feedback seriously and clarifying the medical process.

Dr. Hatsis (sr) was very thorough and gave a good checkup. Reason for the lost star is office tries to charge for my deductible upfront (before the charge goes through my insurance and says I have one) and I see no reason for them to jump the gun and assume people won't pay their bill, if validated. I was forced to sign a form when I refused to pay anything but my copay.and don't appreciate that.

Very satisfied they do a good job I feel very happy today I manage to see much better than before. The staff, very friendly, I am truly grateful to each of them. I recommend it, the doctor does a good job, really, everyone in general.

Dr. Hatsis here at Sight MD performed my eye surgery and what a fantastic job he did! From my pre-op, to post-op, to continued treatment and evaluations, I know I'm in the very best hands with Dr. Hatsis here at Sight MD. I was referred to Dr. Hatsis here at Sight MD from my general ophthalmologist because I needed specialised care, specifically eye surgery. From the very first moment I met Dr. Hatsis, he struck me as a professional whom is very kind, warm, and the finest in his field. His bedside manner is truly commendable. In his care, I was never just a number, but an individual patient with my unique needs being met. Dr. Hatsis takes his time with his work and spends enough time with each patient conferring with you during your visit as well as even shoots the breeze with you. This is what makes me continue to keep Dr. Hatsis as my doctor of choice. The RVC location here in Nassau county on Long Island, New York is the most convenient location for me. The staff is friendly, attentive and very professional. All of the attendants are courteous and very knowledgeable thus making you feel at ease. I owe a huge debt of gratitude to Dr. Hatsis, his team and Sight MD for the exemplary job they so tirelessly continue to do. This patient here is a very happy and satisfied one! Thank you! Thank you! Very efficient. Took me exactly at the time of my appointment. All the tech people were extremely polite and professional, and the doctor was wonderful. Caring and explained everything I needed from her.

I had a 10:50am appointment. I was not seen until 12:45 and that was with me having to go to the front desk to explain me situation. The staff we all very friendly but it is very unfortunate that the schedule was so heavy booked. It leaves the doctors in an uncomfortable position to apologize and it leaves patients feeling frustrated and questioning if it is a money grab. Loved the doctor but the wait was ridiculous, unprofessional and beyond frustrating.

Dr. Hatsis was wonderful and explained everything so well. I traveled here from Central NY for a second opinion and happy I did!

The pediatric doctor Shishani was supposed to see my 11 year old son. On two different appointments both times the facility canceled very short notice. They don't have a replacement of a pediatric ophthalmologist. The appointments are long awaited. I rescheduled an appointment from the summer to December and I just received a phone call on a Friday when the Appointment is on Monday, stating that the pediatrician ophthalmologist will no longer be there in that facility. What I don't understand is why they wait so long because, I could've found an alternative ophthalmologist for my son. And that they cancel in such short notice is extremely frustrating due to the fact most likely if you call on a Friday you will not be able to speak to someone over a weekend. If given the time I may have been able to search for a different Pediatric ophthalmologist. The opportunity to get a different back up ophthalmologist appointment when the appointment is on Monday. This office is unprofessional , his pediatrician wants him to see this particular pediatric ophthalmologist clearly that is very difficult to do. I do not mind seeing a different pediatric ophthalmologist, but it's been a waste of time making an appointment which is so far in advance because it's obviously seems to be that the doctor is booked is what they make it seem like. then they cancel couple days prior to the appointment. ( mind you cancel call Friday for the Monday appointment) and made the appointment in August for December when they canceled a previous appointment from last spring to August. Just to let you know if you are looking for a pediatric ophthalmologist there isn't one there is what I was told... beware stay away Insurance issues, scheduling and stuff issues. DO BETTER!!!
