Dr.Galan OD .... How my appointment developed, first met with staff, very very pleasant, then with the technician who evaluated my situation also very pleasant, then met with Dr. Shane who was very pleasant and humourous as well, and obviously enjoys his work and is knowledgeable. With that said he did solved my situation which I am appreciated of. And all was finalized with the remainder of the staff.

Dr. Galan is one of the only practitioners on the East Coast to offer advanced color blindness/color deficiency testing. Travelled to his office to do an OPTEC 900 test. Dr. Galan and his staff were extremely professional, kind, and understanding of what I needed as a patient. Very much worth the trip if you need testing for occupational reasons.

So happy to have found Dr Galan and his lovely staff. Due to having Fuch's dystrophy and a corneal transplant to correct it, I was left with astigmatism that really impaired my vision. My surgeon recommended a hard contact and gave me a list of 30 Optometrist's (?) I was highly recommended to Dr Galan by a friend with keratoconus, who the Dr has fit with contact lenses. Dr Galan fitted me with a scleral contact lens which has allowed me to enjoy full vision after 2 1/2 years!! I couldn't be happier with my experience at Diamond Vision, Dr Galan is professional and you can tell he loves his work.

Great experience from making an appointment all the way until the end of my visit. Have had two appointments here, one for the Farnsworth d15 test, and the second for the Farnsworth d100 test. Doctor Galan and his staff were extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of the test, making the process extremely smooth. Highly recommend going to Doctor Galan for any color blindness troubles, specifically with taking any of the Farnsworth test.

All of my experiences with Dr Galan have been positive ones! Since my very first visit, both the Doctor and his staff member Denise have been so kind and professional. Dr. Galan has tremendous patience, explains everything so thoroughly and is willing to take the time to make each and every patient feel confident and well cared for. He patiently worked with me to make changes in my lenses, which made a significant difference for me. Everyone on staff is friendly and willing to help. I have been in the process of applying to Federal Law Enforcement positions for some time. During the process with one agency, they made me take a color blind screener in which I obviously failed (being red/green deficient). After doing some online research I concluded that passing a Farnsworth D15 exam would give me the green light to continue the process. I have taken the D15 while undergoing the process with the NYPD so I was confident on taking the exam. When trying to find a doctors office that gives out this exam I was very surprised to see that nobody in my area (Staten Island) gives out the exam. Thankfully Dr Shane Galans office was the only one that came up that promoted the process of taking a D15. Working with Dr Shane Galan and his staff was a huge pleasure! They made the whole experience easy from booking my appointment to taking my exam. Dr Shane Galan was very understanding of the struggle someone with a color deficiency can face. Telling people they can obviously see color but passing the base line exams seems impossible. Dr Shane Galan made me felt comfortable with taking the D15 and assured me that any resource that I need going forward was going to be there at Diamond Visions. After a long review of my results by my Federal agency, they concluded that I was deemed medically fit for the position from the proof of a passing D15 score, all thanks to Dr Shane Galan and his office. I would highly recommend anybody in my position to visit Dr Shane Galan. Not only is he the few to have the resources to help you, but he is very understanding of what you are facing and all he wants is to help people out!

Absolutely amazed how professional and caring Dr. Galan and his staff is. You rarely find a health care team who goes above and beyond to make sure their clients are comfortable and understand the purpose of the visit. I have been to a few eye doctors within New York City and I can honestly say Diamond Vision have been the best and Dr. Galan sets the bar high. Truly an amazing team who needs to be recognized and appreciated more. Thanks for all your help.

I was having trouble with my contacts and went to my ophthalmologist and was told there is nothing wrong with my vision, my eyes or my contacts. After seeing Dr. Galan, he was able to diagnose my issue very quickly. It was actually a simple problem solved within a couple weeks and now I ordered new contact lenses by him and I am thrilled. He took the time to hear my problems. He took the time to figure the issue out. He also took the time to set me up with several trial Lenses for a few weeks for me to see which ones I liked the most. I was most appreciative to his attentiveness and to his staff. I highly recommend for anyone who wants a thorough exam and to be fit for contacts or glasses correctly.
