I could go on and on praising Dr. Gupta, but I am a busy lawyer who has documents to read, both on the computer screen and the "small print" in legal documents. After my cataract surgery with Dr. Gupta, I am able to do the foregoing (as well as read the small print on my IPhone) without glasses!!! Cataract surgery is one of the most common operations performed in the US. You or someone dear to you might be contemplating eye surgery, possibly cataract surgery. I'm seventy-seven, and, like about one third of seniors over 60, I had cataracts in both of my eyes. When my condition interfered with my quality of life, surgery became an option. I consulted with several friends my age. Two had the procedure performed at a prestigious "University" hospital. They expressed some concern with their expectations and the actual outcome of the procedure. If you ever need cataract surgery, make sure you understand the procedure itself and the also the variety of outcomes that the procedure incurs. My wife's colleague recently had cataract surgery, and she highly recommended Dr. Nitasha Gupta of Scarsdale Ophthalmology Associates. After doing some research, I found Dr. Gupta's qualifications to be outstanding. I made an appointment for a consultation with her right away. Upon my arrival at Scarsdale Ophthalmology Associates, I almost expected to get the 'Motor Vehicle Bureau' treatment at the medical receptionist desk. This was not the case: the staff at Scarsdale Ophthalmology Associates were exceptional. They greeted me with polite precision, I was processed, and then asked to take a seat in the waiting area. I don't believe I ever waited more than ten minutes at any visit. I had the opportunity, while sitting in the waiting area, on a each of my five visits, to observe the staff kindly deal with the issues of the moment with a great deal of politeness and professionalism. They know how to do their job, and they are appreciative of to Dr. Gupta and her associates. They were thorough, timely, and clear in every telephone and email follow up. I can't praise them enough. Both the technicians who did the initial examination on my eyes were cordial and willing explained the details of the procedures that they took in examining my eyes. They seemed very happy with their work, and it was evident that they shared the same dedication to Dr. Gupta and Scarsdale Ophthalmology Associates to taking care of patients. On each visit, both before and after surgery, Dr. Gupta referred to the current data from the paraoptometric tech. She also conducted her own eye exam on each visit. She expertly used all this data to not only help me understand my condition, but the possible treatment regiments and outcomes my condition merited. Finally, I could not speak more highly of Dr. Gupta. I initially considered her based upon her excellent background, and my high expectations were more than met. Dr. Gupta is pleasant and genuinely good natured--a self-effacing, personable doctor with a sense of humor. She is clear and precise in the practice of her specialty. She listens well and took the time to explain my medical condition and procedural options and outcomes that could apply in correcting my condition. She took her time, using the computerized parametric data including graphic/visuals/tables from my many eye exams to explain to me the options she could give me in terms of my vision after surgery. I never once felt like I wasn't being taken care of. She thoughtfully and patiently helped me choose the visual outcome that would best suit my needs. Her predictions regarding the outcome of my surgery were 100% on the mark. I felt like I had rubbed the lamp and the genie had given me all my wishes. It was also a pleasure to see how pleased she was with the results her own work. She is the reason I have the visual acuity and facility to write this review. I'm able to again sit back on my chair and use my computer in comfort. And the icing on the cake is that I can drive at night with no problems and no glasses. Dr. Gupta as well as her staff have my utmost respect and gratitude for giving me my vision back and improving the quality of my life immeasurably--many thanks.

Once you meet Dr Gupta you realize why she has 5 star ratings from all her patients. The office staff is incredibly helpful, and Dr Gupta is very thorough and took the time to answer all my wife's questions. She is a great doctor, highly recommended.
