Going to a different place. A year waiting list is become intolerable and appointment reminders are seldom.

Have been their customer/patient for 6+ years. Hubby switched to them as well. Overall we have a pleasant experience, with everyone there except one lady who process the insurance and co-pays. She is rude, disrespectful and overall unpleasant to deal with. She has no business dealing with patients or customers. We brought our experience up with the optometrist and hopefully will not encounter her miserable attitude again. The optometrist and the rest of the staff are great. Super helpful, kind and friendly. Very happy to be their customer overall. Doc is detailed, attentive and kid friendly. May update this, if we encounter any more attitude from this one employee.

Provided me with free temporary set of contact lenses when I was trapped in Watertown due to snow. Helped me out big time.

I have been to over 4 different eye doctors in the area and I have to say Meade Optical is by far the best one!!! When I was calling around to find the right doctor for me, I was asking a lot of questions and the lady on the phone actually went to go get the doctor to fully answer my questions. I was impressed by his knowledgeable answers and by the time he took out of his busy day to help me. I was even more impressed when I finally went in for the appointment! Dr Ryan Knox is caring, straight forward and very knowledgeable optometrist. I have a rare eye disease, and Dr Ryan really took his time (2 hours) to explain to me what was happing in a way that I could understand. On top of all that my eyes are really picky with contacts, and I haven't been able to wear them for two years because they bother my eyes so much. But Dr Ryan worked with me until I finally found the right pair that fit my eyes!! I am so happy to be able to wear contacts again!! Dr Ryan went above and beyond to help me in any way possible. The Front office is also very friendly and polite and It's a family run office and you really feel like you're part of the family. I left the office with more understanding of my eye condition then any of the countless eye doctors I have seen before and on top of that I truly felt like Dr Ryan cared about my eye health and was willing to put in the time and effort to really help me as well. I highly recommend this office!!!

Normally I'm too busy (working single parent) to write a review. But Dr. Knox (Ryan) was just simply too amazing to me and my whole family for years so I couldn't pass this time! I am severely nearsighted (-13) with all kinds of issues..! Searching the perfect customized contacts was a time consuming journey! For one single contact exam fee, I literally had 10 visits for my contacts trying all kinds of different lenses.. I felt horrible feeling like I was Goldie Locks, too tight, too dry, etc!! However throughout those visits not even once Dr. Knox did not greet me without a huge sweet smile (even when I went after hours due to my work schedule)! He went out of his way to get me the 'dream pair' I didn't think they exist for years! He was nothing but angel who also happens to be extremely knowledgeable (with amazing chairside manner) and a compassionate eye professional who has genuine interests helping his patients achieve their best eye condition as possible. The Best eye doc I've ever had in my life! I highly recommend this place for all your eye needs!(^_^)

My wife has went here for years. As others have stated, the Dr is fantastic. However, the employee on the phone today was argumentative, rude, and is not what is best for business. I understand if someone is having a bad day, but according to some other reviews, everyday must be bad for this employee. My wife began looking for another optical center after the interaction on the phone with this employee, Ingrid.

I reluctantly scheduled an appointment with Meade Optical because they were one of the only places in town that accepted my insurance. I've had issues with them in the past so this wasn't ideal for me. I told them my glasses were broken and I needed to get in as soon as they could have me. They scheduled me for three weeks out. So I waited, then the day before my appointment I get a call saying actually, we dont take your insurance. So now I've waited around for almost a month with broken glasses and I now have to make an appointment somewhere else. Meades has completely wasted my time once again.

Dr Knox is a really good doctor and I think he puts his patients concerns and care as a priority, and son is following in his footsteps also. Very happy with their services. But I will never buy my frames there again or deal with the opticians there! They are all extremely rude and not helpful at all! I was very shocked and upset at their lack of courtesy and their attitude towards patients!
